bevolj
Is there a way to make items that you can use or put in your inventory not move? Like baskets, plates, weapons or other things that you can drop from your inventory? I would like to be able to place some of them using the console pos x,y,z type commands rather than the holding E button and have them stay where I want them with out falling when loading the save or reentering the house. So that I can place them just right. Like one example is on the weapon stall near the blacksmith in Windhelm there is a bow floating in the air to look like it is nailed to one of the stalls post. If I wanted to do something like that in my blacksmith weapon area of my Hjerim house, how would I do it?
SkjoldBjorn
Found a command SetZoneRespawnsthat might be what i need, but cant find the parameters for encounterzonesfor example coc abandonedshackinterior works, but setzonerespawns abandonedshackinterior 0 says abandonedshackinterior is an invalid encounter zone. I made an .esp, can you test it out?http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4138 I tried waiting for 4 days after deleting stuff and throwing items at the floor, nothing despawned/respawnedI added the house to "NoResetZone" so it should be as a playerhouse now.the cell name is bugged, so the door when you enter will show "DS", will have no effect on your gameplay though, i will fix this when i get the time.Enjoi! :) @Bevolj yes you can, if you use TCL (no clip mode) all items will stand still mid-air. You cannot move them with "e" when you use TCL, but you can set position and angle.Remember that if you have problems with items falling back to the ground after you exit/re-enter the house it's because some of the items resets to their the position they where in when you threw them on the floor. To correct that try disable/enable the item before you start moving it around and it should correct the issue. Unfortuantly some items do not want to stay in place no matter what, but there is no way to correct that atm. 123pmg
Has anyone found the id for the non-pick-uppable kettle? It's found often in dungeons and ruins and is a darker, cleaner, less tarnished kettle. More importantly, it's a static object that stays where you put it, which I need because I'm always bumping my kettles and sending the contents flying around the house. I tried to search on pots and kettles, but found nothing. If anyone knows, I'd greatly appreciate it.
SkjoldBjorn
Next time you are in a dungeon check the reference id on the kettle and then search the reference id in fnvedit :)

I can't even load a file... it's just double-click then crash. I can use the FOMM but the fnvedit just will not start. :(

Fantastic. I'm at work now but I'll get it ASAP and edit this post tonight. Thanks in advance. :) Also, I have another tip for beginners to this process. When placing light sources, the console seems to place them in the direct center of the object. So if you have an oblong object like tall floor lamp, the light source is placed in the middle of the rod going from the floor to the candle, NOT at the candle itself. Same thing with torches and candles... if you spawn lights, it places them below the actual flames and makes your shadows look very strange. An easy way to fix this is to place an item like an egg or something small, set it to the exact x/y coordinates of the object, and then raise or lower the z coordinates until it's where you want the light to emanante from. Once you have it, place the light and delete the egg. And remember to ALWAYS F5 before you place a light so that you can reload if it doesn't look right. EDIT - got it... it's 30fc0. It's a kettle with a handle on it. If you could let me know the id, i'd greatly appreciate it. Edited December 20, 2011 by pmg123
