Double beds that 2 NPCs can sleep in.

Is it possible to configure the double bed models so they are actually recognized as TWO beds, and two NPCs will sleep in it???

For Immersion, in instances where you have NPCs who are a married couple...Such as the Abenathys, etc.

It would SEEM that this should be possible. Perhaps a skilled modder could give it a try.

It isn't. At least, not for the bunk ones. The normal double beds in theory should work, but practically I wasn't able to make them work.

I can get the double beds to register as two beds as far as the settlement is concerned... But I can not assign two settlers to a bed, and have them both sleep in it.

The Institute double bed shows as 2 and I can sleep in at the same time as a settler but 2 settlers won't sleep in it.

I have had an idea, though... What about making a small bed placeholder "object", and a fake double bed object (that isn't actually recognized as a bed itself)?
In the editor, and with console commands...two of the bed objects could be positioned in the appropriate places on a "fake" double bed model.

When I say "placeholder" objects...I mean objects similar to the guard, and vendor "rugs" that people have made.

  • 6 years later...

I was thinking of sawing the double bed in half & have CK register each half as a bed, thereby getting 2 people to sleep in them..........

Knowing the game, at least 1 of 'm will try to reach the 2nd bed through the 1st, at which it fails, so it moonwalks against the 1st bed for a while, before giving up... (instead of walking to the other side)
