Magicka vs Regen vs Reduction cost of spells

Hi im playing a mage and im around level 35 atm i just finished the college of winterhold quests im looking for a straight answer as there seems to be mixed information all over the place what is a priority for mage

Magicka Regeneration - Apperantly you don't regen in combat which would yield it useless ?

Straight Magicka - More magicka you have more spells you can cast

Reduction in cost of spells - Cast more spells for less man thus making your magicka pool more effective

From what i assume and i am a first time player of Elder Scrolls so i do not know much but i would guess mixing straight magica and reduction in cost would be the most effective way to go ?

Some advice would be greatly appreciated

Edit

Smithing is 100 and i have crafted daedric armour but not using it atm

Enchanting is 75 and still leveling

So i would like to wear daedric armor and enchant that as my final gear so keep that in mind

Once I max my enchant/smith/alch skills, I'll be going for Regen and Reduction (there are enchantments that both reduce and regen under ONE enchantment.) For example, Novice Robes of Restoration give you a 15% cost reduction for restoration spells and regenerate your magicka 50% faster. Your magicka DOES regen in combat, though not as fast. Put most of your points into magicka when you level up. You will be a spell-flinging tank of awesomeness if you do this.

100% reduction cost in restoration and destruction, cast spells for no magicka required :whistling: one hand channels a heal, the other has ice storm, basically god mod, or conjure up a demora lord [needs magicka] then spam lighting storm as a heavy laser artillery

With max enchanting you can make your main magic spells cost zero mana. With dual enchants you can get 2 enchants per gear. You will end up having 2 main enchants (means you have 4 of the same type of enchants on your rings/gear) and 2 secondary enchants (2 of the same type of enchants on your gear). I ended up with 100% destruction mana reduction and 160% two hand as my main enchants. For the secondary enchants I have 80% archery and 50% stamina regen. So you can probably get all 3 for your and mana reduction for your main school of magic.
