  1. Well I just like this type of humor. It always gets a laugh out of me.
  2. Well found this old video about skyrim. it is pretty funny.
  3. Yea unless you are using Deadly Dragons their is no point in getting your resist to above 80%. You can have magic resist and fire/frost/lighting resist to reduce damage since they stack (multiplicative). So if someone hits you for 300dmg fire damage, 60% magic resist would reduce it to 120 and with 50% fire resist would reduce it to 60dmg.
  4. If you are using Wars in Skyrim make sure you have installed all of the string files correctly otherwise the game will not start up and CTD.
  5. Deadly Dragons makes dragons something to be feared instead of just a bump on the road for anything to kill.
  6. Their is mod called Magic Scaling on the steam workshop that increases magicka regen in combat. It also solves the issue of magic damage doing nothing on master difficult mobs.
  7. P should bring up the spell menu add the spell you want to your favorites. Then hit Q to go the the favorites menu. Assign your spell/shout to a number key 1-8. I have not had a CTD issue when it comes to menus. Most of the CTD issues I have had were due to save files, or that blackreach save loop bug (fixed by turning save on travel off).
  8. Scout, Cleric, and warrior are the playstyles I have used. If you are planning on going a warrior build get the respite perk in the restoration tree. It enables your heals to restore stamina as well. A Wizard spec is the hardest to play during early game and on master difficult their damage does not scale well without mods. While if you are trying for a monk build you will find it difficult to get a good staff early on and their are no high level staff weapons.
  9. Well lvl 78 assassin Magicka -200 Health - 600 Stamina - 270 Perks One-hand - sword spec Destruction- upto Augment Fire/Frost Pickpocking - upto extra pockets Sneaking - all but deadly aim Restoration - just for necromage and respite Conjuration - upto Oblivion bind and twinsouls Alchemy - upto benifactor Speech -upto investor Smithing - heavy armor side to dragon armor Enchanting - only missing storm enchant and soul squeeze Play with this build on masters. I can get 2 300hp heals with my magicka lvl and respite enable that to replenish all of my stamina. Using light armor that is at the 85% damage reduction cap 567 or so. Still have destruction, block, and archery to level.
  10. I would love for bethesda to improve the in game economy and end game content. No point in playing a imperial when all races end up with an abundance of gold if you explore.
  11. I was expecting this sandbox game to bring me some type of satifaction. This was the first game I have played that did not do that. Skyrim feels like an incomplete mmo but without a community or end-game content their is nothing challenging about the game. No challenge level for players that have maxed some of their perks. Master level difficult is to easy, 1-2 shot everything, 4shot Aldiun the final boss. It is a massive map with a ton of things to explore but why explore at all? Nothing I have found was rewarding 1-2 shot the enemies in the cave, hear about what they have done, loot crap to sell, realize that their is no point in looting items when you have 200k gold and nothing to buy. It has a lot of issues: bugs, economy, scaling. It should not have won goty, Dark souls/Arkham city have more rewarding gameplay than this. Only thing that stops my from giving this game a lower score are the mods. Odd that modders are improving the game more so than Bethesda. Vanilla skyrim 6/10 with mods 8/10.
  12. If you focus on only doing main missions I can see that happening. I do a ton of misc missions before I get to the main ones.
  13. Hit alt then click on the door, then enter "coc WhiterunHeimskrsHouse." I had this same issue during my playthrough.
  14. Just check your mods to see if some are out of date or drop your fps, and make sure your computer does not have any viruses or background programs that will interfere with the game. I play skyrim with a very old GPU. The main things that drop my fps are shadows, and reflections in rooms with multiple light sources. Skyrim Tweek Guide shows you how most of your options setting will effect your fps. You computer may be able to play on ultra setting but it could just be that your resolution is turned up to high. 1600-900 is the max resolution my monitor can run even though I know skyrim can go upto 2560-1600 or so.
  15. "All rulers in all ages have tried to impose a false view of the world upon their followers." quote from the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. SOPA, PIPA, and now ACTA all remind me of Big Brother was the ruler of the main country from that novel. He abused his power dictate the lives of everyone in Oceania with mass surveillance. He use the propaganda "Big Brother is watching you" to keep everyone in line.
  16. If you are not sure that you fit the personality that was given to you just take the test multiple times. For color I always ended up with white, while my personality answer always changed a bit. Still I got deathknight more than anything else. Chaotic Neutral for my Alignment test. What color are you test.
  17. I have done the alteration, illusion, conjuration, and destruction ones before. They only say "You already know everything I know" if you attempt to train from them but the Npc that enable you to learn a master level spell have a special text to start the quest. Some of the NPC's 4th line of text is hiding until your scroll down to it. Just make sure you have the level to do the quest.
  18. Cleave from 2h sweep power attacks are very simple to use and during my first playthrough it was very annoying. No matter what fight my follower would die because he move into my sweep range 180° in from of me. It is understandable that people would want a 2h to start with cleave. All of the high damage AE spells have long casting times and are not worth the mana or time use to cast them. Also, they have the same issue I had with sweeping strike AE tends to kill any followers you have. I did not find skyrim's combat system to be challenging at all. Block, dodge, or use a potion to mitigate damage that is similiar to the other mmo's I have played. One of the major annoying thing I find about the game is that master difficult mages can one shot you, but your spells do not grow to be anywhere near that powerful. Playing as a mage on master is a big handicap without mods. I read that mages were OP in oblivion but they should at least be able to clear master difficult without taking an entire mana bar to get an enemy to 80% hp. Yes I know enchanting will reduce mana consumption to zero but that takes awhile to level early in the game.
  19. You get to the point where gold has no value about midway through exploring the world. 500k and nothing to buy :(.
  20. You will find an abundance of gold in the game but few vendors to sell items too. Every major town has about 6 vendors to sell upto 4000 worth of items too and that is before your speak perks. If you plan on exploring the entire map you will end up with 500k gold from only looting 10x items. So do not loot every item you find.
  21. The game has a very flawed economy. Rare crafting materials which your rarely see from exploration, are common items at every vendor. Odd that a alchemy potion can sell more than a lot of weapon. First played through ended with 400k gold, this playthrough I am already at 100k gold. Nothing worth saving up your money for and you will still be able to get an stupid amount of gold from only selling 100x gold/weight items that you find. Still you can make even more gold from crafting items.
  22. This playthrough I am using trainers as a gold dump. The last playthrough I had so much money by the end of it. Just remember skills under level 25 cost 500 or so, level 50 cost 1600, level 75 cost 4000. It is best to use your money for the higher leveled skills since they take longer to level up. Just remember that you can only train 5 times per level so always train something before you choose to level up. Yeah their are a lot of bugs in this game SickFak. Still gold is easy without those bugs and it gets to a point where you are just running through dungeons without looting. This takes the fun out of exploring once you have cleared half of the map.
  23. Yeah when games try for realism I expect to much from them and get disappointed. That is why I like cartoony like games. Still skyrim is top of the line when it come to the amount of content, environment, and the radiant AI events.
  24. What is blocking? I never had to do that with any of my builds on master. I go pure offensive builds and I rarely die due to potions. Master level is difficult during the early levels, until you get some decent weapons. I hate having to play skyrim master difficult in a set way, since enemy scaling on this game is very messed up (too easy or difficult). Enemies do not scale past lvl 50 and you will hit that before you have explore half of the map. Still by the end of the game master difficult is too easy with your crafting skills maxed. I would expect master difficult to be challenging to people with some perks maxed but it is not.
  25. level 81 is the max level and once you get to lvl 70 or so it becomes very slow to level that it is just not worth it to continue to play. Anyways after my first playthrough I ended the game with 400k gold. I only started to pick up items worth 100x after I had all of the houses that was around the time I only explored half of the map. You will get gold by doing anything just takes a bit of time.
