MaxShadow09
Hi people. I was using SSME so far, but I heard that it is outdated and redundant because SKSE already includes a memory patch. So, I added the lines to SKSE.ini, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I get infinite loading screens without SSME, and when I look at the MemoryBlocksLog, it says both blocks are 256mb, the default size. When I use SSME instead, it says 768MB and 640MB (the values I set in SSME.ini). I'm using the latest Skyrim version, with SKSE 1.7.3. Do I have to do anything else to enable the patch? This is my SKSE.ini: [NotPlacebo]GiveFirstBornToSheson=1[General]EnableDiagnostics=1ClearInvalidRegistrations=1[Display]iTintTextureResolution=2048[Memory]ScrapHeapSizeMB=256DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768[Debug]WriteMinidumps=1 Edited August 19, 2016 by MaxShadow09
BlackPlague69
I was getting an infinite load screen but the only way I could get rid of it was to undo all the mods and reinstall them. It took me two days to do and I am still doing it now but it's not a memory issue, I would say just take out a few mods that are 4k textures and try to get a 2k version of them. MaxShadow09
My skyrim installation has around 400 mods :v It has random crashes, but that's another problem. If I don't use SSME, the game freezes on the first loading screen, and MemoryBlocksLog reports that the game is hitting the 256 limit. With SSME it doesn't happen. Also, I used a tool to reduce the size of all the textures in my data folder to a maximum of 2K. About reinstalling mods, I recommend you to use a mod manager like Mod Organizer or Nexus Mod Manager. It makes things much easier.

MaxShadow09
Thats what I did, but it still doesn't work :/Anyway, I installed "Crash fixes" by meh321, as darstyler suggested in another thread. It comes with its own memory patch, which apparently replaces the Skyrim memory allocation system completely with a regular C malloc, so there aren't blocks, and the game should not reach a memory limit. It seems to be working, as MemoryBlocksLog only shows two lines and then stops reporting. The game is running pretty fine now, perhaps even better than before with SSME. If anyone wants to give it a try, here's the link: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725/?For the memory patch you'll also need this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75795/?
