dragovianwarrior95
I want to change the gender and race of my character, although I'm pretty late in the game as I already finished several quest chains and maxed out almost every skill. My character is unmarried, but will there be any major consequences for switching gender/race now?
DoctorKaizeld
It can break the game quite severely. I dont believe there is a work around for it yet.
Kvosh
This can happen if you change your character too often...http://imgur.com/MPTMerB

Because I can deal with stuff like skills being reset or spells being forgotten.
DoctorKaizeld
No it isnt a simple stat reset. It will break your character. Textures get messed up. Stats break. Special class abilties break. Everything goes bad dont do it just start a new game... Believe me on this it's better that way.
jjb54
It will crash the game .. if not right away, it will be a slow and painful corruption of your saved games from the " change " forward. To many things are " set " in the game ... as to your current " Race " - " Gender ". Bottom Line: It is NOT recommended. But if you indeed want to ' experiment '. Back up your current set of saved games and realize that 1 of 2 things will indeed happen. 1. You will find you will need to go back to the saved, saved game.2. You will start the game over from scratch.
