frapfap
Deadric is better, but deadra hearts are supposedly harder to come by than dragon bones. So Deadric (though technically refined ebony) is better, but it is simpler to make into armor than bone. you can farm the daedric hearts. most of the robed people randomly walking on roads have deadric hearts. i have like 8 or 9 of them in my chest in my house and nothing to use them on (didnt know what they were for till yur post) and i dont have smithing, so yeah ><
Odai
You can also make some awesome staffs in the College Midden when you get a sigil stone. But dragons are everywhere and give tons of supplies.
Tardivex
Daedric because it has more armor rating and the Dragonplate armor is ugly as hell
Odai
In all reality... the highest armor rating you will ever need in the game is that of Ebony Armor. So with smithing even crude and rudimentary leather light armors are more than enough with some decent skill... or lucky potions
Lachdonin
Walk around in the bones of a Dragon, or armour forged from volcanic glass thats harder than steel and tempred with the raging souls of imprisoned Daedra? Tough call... I'm gonna have to go with Daedric though, if for no other reason than its comparitive rairity.
Odai
You know what the best armor is? Banded Iron on Legendary crafting. With enough potions and enchantments and boosting, any armor in the game is the best. That is the magic of the no degrading of weapons and armor. But in all seriousness. Why make a big deal of it. The armor that you like best, you can MAKE the best. For my Orc... orcish, my khajiit, glass, my dunmer gets dragonplate. Numbers are an illusion. When all armor can be infinite, why bother comparing?
Nightwolfhunter
So i am wearing daedric armor , but now i reached 100 smithing just to find out that dragonplate is actually worse. Daedric Legendary- 414Dragonplate Lgendary - 396 So daedric seems to be better, what do the rest of you think? weird. I have a set of Legendary for both and Dragonplate is better than Daedric at that point, but only barely.
WarKirby3333
i found the dragonplate armor a bit wierd. i love the gloves, and the boots are pretty decent. But the random leg bones hanging from your ass on the back just look silly. and the shoulderpads are wierd too. not to mention it leaves your arms unprotected. the helmet seems like it was made for a different armor altogetherm as it's more metal than bone. I used it for a while before i realised daedric is better, and changed to that.
