Adrianne in whiterun...

After the invasion of whiterun by the stormcloaks, and during the aftermath. I decided to drop by and visit my friendly neighbour, who buys my crap. So I asked her what is life like under stormcloaks... and then she replied that the stormcloaks refuse to buy anything from anyone who isn't a Nord

After betraying the Jarl... that was the last straw for me. Anyone else encountered this?

They still buy from her husband who is a Nord. This is the case with everyone who sides with the Stormcloaks.

I agree wholeheartedly that while I agree with most of the Stormcloak ideal, Ulfric is just a power-hungry despot who needs to go to Oblivion...and in my game, I've sent him there, along with a few of his Jarls, but since they are never replaced by the ones who should rule in their stead, I break quests when it happens. I do have an idea that could rectify this though:

I'm trying to get someone to make my ideas come alive, but so far, people keep telling me to "live with my choices or choose differently" My idea has always been after routing the Empire and kicking them out of Skyrim, Ulfric would be brought to justice. The Jarls who support him, but care nothing for the people would be removed and the old Jarls that cared about their people reinstated. I've come across several Jarls that I just want to throttle because of the way they act in regards to the common person. The Jarl of Markarth that supports Ulfric, just cares about money and how much silver he can get out of his mine-turned-prison, the Jarl of Morthal, just cares about herself, the Jarl of Dawnstar is an arrogant bastard who is quick to anger and hates everything about everyone who isn't him, the only good Jarl I found on the Stormcloak side is the new Jarl of Falkreath, who happens to be the one who ruled before. The Imperial Jarl of Falkreath didn't care about the people and emptied the towns coffers on lavish drinks and clothes, and consorted with bandits.

I would like some way to change the bad Jarls, and either reinstate, or find a better Jarl for each hold, some Jarls are caring about their people, others, not so much. The goal of the Stormcloaks was a united Skyrim, instead we get self-serving, uncaring milkdrinkers who need to be put in their place. So someone please make this come true...give me some control over who gets to rule this new, free Skyrim.

I know, I do too. I can at most do some light scripting by looking at other similar scripts, but that's about it. I'm not very good at building things, I can write a story in my head, but it's near impossible to put it into words. Some of the old Jarls would work good if we could just place them back in power, they all go to Soilitude and live in the basement there, so finding the old Jarls isn't difficult, finding new, better candidates might be, but I think we could go to High Hrothgar and use our voice to summon those who believe themselves worthy of the title to come climb to the top to be tested. Those who make it will face you (or someone of your choosing) in battle, because as my saying goes, you can learn more about someone fighting them for 10 minutes then you could in a lifetime of simply talking to them. People lie, but a fight would show you their true colors. Do they fight honorably? Or do they resort to underhanded tactics? Things like this is what would make an ideal Jarl for me at least. Someone who knows how to stand up for themselves, so they can stand up for those they may rule over.
