Bandwidthbob
I've had a couple of reports that Dogmeat won't leave my level with the player, and a console command is needed to get him out/back. Fast travelling somewhere else seems to resolve the issue. I did notice that my companion didn't appear immediately in my level, although I'm pretty certain I've done the navmesh correctly. Is this a known bug, or is there something obvious that I've done wrong? The issue can be seen right at the beginning of my level, in the Vault Tec Office. My mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17206/? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah
Do your door markers have yellow navmesh tris under them, both outside and inside of the cell entry door? If they do not, finalizing the cell navmesh should fix that (provided the door markers are placed correctly). Also, if I remember correctly, I tried finalising the navmesh before, and it broke more than it fixed, so I've been doing it manually. Any other ideas? BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah
This won't stop you from doing the navmesh itself by hand, Finalizing ("Finalize Cell Navmeshes"...iirc) is just telling the Creation Kit that the navmesh is finished after you've laid it down. It *shouldn't* really break anything, in and of itself. It is required for Cover, Door Markers, npc's traveling between cells...all that good stuff. I finalised the navmesh, and a yellow tri appeared, which I definitely hadn't seen before. My companion appears now, immediately after entering and exiting the level. I'll get a couple of other people to test it first, but looks like that did the trick, so thank you!
