Blender what to install and where to find it?

Recommended Posts

I'm working on a mod and I need to edit a mesh, but I'll need blender to do so. I would usually ask if someone else could help, but that never happens, so I decided I'll try and do it myself.

Now I don't know what to install and where exactly to download it from. I've been looking everywhere, and searching for different versions that work together, but I continuously find broken links leaving me without a working version due to lacking certain files.

What mesh are you editing? And you should probably move onto 2.77a, which is still the current version so far.

Also, did you begin editing in 2.49b? I hope not, as that version is so old, it isnt worth your time.

Go to Blender.org And then download the nif importer/exporter dev plugin and install it by zip file.

Then use the first steps from my tutorial to import your mesh that you want to edit, you will have to learn how to link textures, and tweak materials and such.

It isnt exactly what you need right now, but it should be enough to get you started on your modding journey.
