Limorkil
I read the descriptions in game, but the effects do not necessarily match the descritpions. DRAIN vs DAMAGEI cannot see a difference between these two. Both lower something. Is one permanent and one temporary? When the spell description says "Drains 10 agility for 10 seconds" does that mean 100 agility total, permanently, or 10 agility and only for 10 seconds? How is this different to "Damages 10 agility for 10 seconds"? ABSORBI know how absorb health works because I have used it a lot. When it says "Absorbs 10 health for 10 seconds" it means 100 health total at a rate of 10 per second. The health you absorb is permanent - you get to keep it - and the health lost by the target is also permanent, unless healed. But when I try Absorb Strength, the results are different. In fact, I cannot see any difference. I certainly do not gain any strength and I am not convinced that my opponents lose strength because even with a very powerful Absorb Strength they never seem to get overburdened and the damage they do does not seem to go down. However, if I use Absorb Strength on a critter with Reflect, my character LOSES strength and it never comes back. Does anyone know if/how Absorb Attribute works? wesaynothin
I don't know absorb, but I know damge hurts the baddy, while Drain leeches its health into your own.
Limorkil
I don't know absorb, but I know damge hurts the baddy, while Drain leeches its health into your own. I am fairly certain that is incorrect. Absorb is the effect that is meant to leech from an opponent's health into your own, or any other attribute/skill. I have used a drain health effect and never received any health. Drain and Damage both reduce your opponent's health/magicka/fatigue/attributes/skills, but how are they different? Surely someone must know this?
Pob
Belive the difference between drain/damage is the temp loss for one and permenat for t'other. Could say which is which however, but not for sure Drain 10pts agl for 10 secs means for 10 secs you will be 10 agl down for the next 10 secs. After that it returns to normal. Damage means you lose the one permantly so damage agl 10pts for 10 secs will lsoe you 100 agl as the damage happens each second (although you would never get that on a weapon enchantment points would be of the scale) Absorb does exactly what it says. may be some bugs with stat absorbs though so make sure you have the latest patch.
