I need some technical jargon explained.

So, I've been having a weird graphical bug in NV recently. At first, I thought it was some kind of bug with anti-aliasing. However, I've confirmed that isn't the case. After pouring a bunch of research, It sounds like this guy http://forum.step-project.com/topic/7210-fallout-new-vegas-fnv4gb-graphicaltexture-issue-solved/ has had the exact same issue, just from his description. I'm also using mod organizer and 4gb, so this seems to be the culprit.

Problem: I have no clue what the solution they mention is. I'm extraordinarily tech-inept. I downloaded that inspector tool they mentioned, but upon opening it, it looks like a rocketship control panel, and I can't make heads or tails of it. If anyone could please tell me, step by simple step, what to do, I promise to include you in my will when I die.

  • Open NVIDIA profile inspector.
  • At the top there is a drop down box on the top left , it's called Profiles. Click the down arrow to the right of it and go to the Fallout New Vegas Profile.
  • Hover over the box with the green plus sign in the tool bar, it will say "Add application to current profile". Click it.
  • Navigate to the Fallout New Vegas root directory, the normal path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas", your path may be different depending on where you installed the game.
  • Select the FalloutMO.exe or FalloutNV4GB.exe (I don't know what method you are using) and press the Open button.
  • Click the green down arrow in the top right corner that says Apply Changes *twice* to make sure they are applied.

You can now close the program.
