jeffglobal
After replacing my gtx 260 with my nifty gtx 570 and sucking my 550W power supply to death thinking I. Killed my card, paying $150 for a Corsair (750W) and putting the Skyrim settings on Ultra... Can I delete the d3dx.dll fix that worked for my gtx 260? Is this fix unDx11-ing the game so that fps is better? Anyone run the nvidia software and find the optimal settings and/or wtf this dll actually does to work its wonders? I'm now running the nvidia beta drivers... The game is so beautiful with all the additional HD mods I can't tell much difference other than view distance and density of foliage and smoothness. Should I enable the FXAA? I'm running the optimal settings as per Fallout New Vegas, since that's the closest game I can find that behaves like this one... Thnx for any help! BarefootWarrior
Your PSU should be fine I would think, I'm running a Corsair 850, but the specs are similar on the 12V leg. I am not using FXAA myself, I see no need to. Nor am I using any 'fixes' for my card, but I am going to uopdate my drivers and see if that helps some minor issues that I am experiencing not only in this game but for my work. And I admit that I am not a hard core player as some of you folks. Not a big help here, but thought I'd let you know what I am doing for this game. Just to add to this, make sure you have plenty of air flow for your system though. I am playing on 'Ultra' settings and having a great time.
