I haven't played Oblivion before so I don't know if it is supposed to look like this or not.

It is really hard to explain so I added a screenshot.

 

My installed mods:

Unofficial patches + the ones for the dlc's

Oblivion XP

Eyecandy body

Oblivion Character Overhaul V2

Stock Clothing and armors for eyecandy body

What do you mean by "this" ?

For me it looks normal. Oblivion XP seems to be installed correctly (you can see the yellow xp bar above the health bar).

If you want a more beautiful game, you should install some texture mods, an ENB, Oblivion Reloaded, Darnified UI for the interface etc

I tried to add more mods to make the game more beautiful, but then I only get crashes...

Do you mean the dark brown spiky things sticking up around the trees in the water? Those are called Cypress Knee Clusters, and they're just a normal part of the vanilla landscaping meshes. You'll see them used in places it's supposed to look swampy --- especially all over Blackwood.

Yes, I mean the brown spiky things. Oh, I thought there was something wrong with my game or that I messed something up with the mods!

Can second that this is not a bug or messed up texture or anything. They are meant to be there, looking like that.
