tijnertijner
Its not just textures what eats vram, enb can take a big piece, maybe some tweaking?Yeah well I deleted the enb, and yes I do get about 30 frames more than before that 's logical.. but frames where never really the problem, I used to get 40 outdoors and 60+ indoors which is fine. but now it just stutters near/in citys especially windhelm and white run I have allready uninstalled and chekced if it where due to a city modifying mod but nope, does not change a thing. jones177
My 970 stuttered outside if I had more than one source of vsync.Using the driver for vsync & switching it off in the Skyrim & ENB inis fixed it for me. My 970 also had micro stutter. I found it controllable with ENB ini settings but the vanilla game was almost unplayable. Sorry to say my micro stutter issue was fixed when I upgraded to a GTX 980. When I went 1440/4k resolution I used a GTX 980 ti & it took 2 weeks of constant testing to remove all the stutter from it. I used the ENB STEP guide to fix it. Now I am using a GTX 1080 & it has some unique problems that I am sure that I will be able to tweak out eventually. Stutter & random CTDs are the nature of a heavy modded Skyrim. Managing these issues is what this hobby is about & sometimes we get to play. Later

I was experiencing some heavy stuttering outdoors, so I resized most of my textures down to 1K, trying to fix it. It helped a bit, but I was still having stuttering. Disabling VSync really helped me, the game runs really smooth now. Reducing the texture size was unnecessary :/ In fact, the game was working fine a few days ago, but it suddently started with that annoying stuttering. It's probably because VSync was disabled before, but changing game settings from the Skyrim Launcher enables it again. It also enables all your plugins, making you hit the 255 limit if you have many of them disabled. Stupid launcher, I probably won't touch it again. Thanks for the info Jones177.
