Quests for a stealthy archer

Once level 30, you're gonna LOOOOOOVE the Boethiah quest. She wants everyone killed in a VERY stealthy way.

She says that and it's in the quest description, but I simply went in with heavy armor and no stealth skills to speak of, bashed my shield very loudly into peoples faces, and got the reward without even a damn comment on how hard I failed the Stealth part...

Im a stealth archer too.....of sorts.

You need to spam the smithing/crafting skills from the start.Make lots of small crap and upgrade it enchant it with low level enchants....rince and repeat.

That way you can make some killer bow/arrow combo's and then enchant.

Currently using ebony bow with deadric arrows with a soul trap.....love that animation  and a big pile of black soul gems to fill for epic enchants!!

For me, doing the first TG quest at the bee farm with just a bow on adept was a good challenge.

Another point on crafting and enchanting is with some of the craft mods already up, you can create tg,db,nightingale etc and then upgrade and enchant with your own buffs....tailor made

Happy headshotting!

I made a stealthy archer poisoner who wore nothing but clothing and he face melted the world with just a bow. None of this enchanting smithing alchemy nonsense. Yes its OP and makes the most insanely strong characters imaginable. However I took sneaking, alchemy, bow, and pickpocketing and no other skills and played until he was 35 and I got bored of beating everyone. I made poisons and healing potions, along with paralysis potions, coupled with the reverse pickpocket perk and you could put a paralysis potion on someone and steal whatever they had without detection because they were paralyzed. If you were interested in killing them just coat the bow with the potion instead and you'll never get detected on even the strongest foes.

The only thing I used was an ebony bow you get from one of the dragon mask ruins early. It took ten minutes to beat the draugr lord, but stealthing behind the pillar, and shooting until dead made it easy. An eminent archery circlet, ring and necklace purchased from stores, and regular unenchanted clothing. If you get hit your pretty much dead on master. I invested 60/40 stamina/health so I could zoom, slowtime more and excluding rare instances I never died because I was never detected and kill everything within a few shots. On cases where you cannot stay hidden, just paralyze your targets, or make invisibility potions and go hide until undetected.

Find a bow you enjoy buy items to improve bow damage and go nuts. Anything on top of that is gravy. This is of course on master difficulty. You only need armor/daggers if your sloppy ;)

I second that. I'm (currently) a lvl49 Vampire Archer w/ 100% Sneak and 100% Archery. I still wear my DB armor but I don't really need it. I didn't go down the Alch/Enchant/Smith paths this time but will the next. Nor did I do anything with Pickpocket but after reading what you say, Kardgar, I think I may. Sneaking up on Dragons while they rest on their roosts and *plunk plunk* is pure greatness.

What do you mean by "dragon mask ruins"? You mean the Nordic ruins or something else?

Near the Labrythian is the ruins of Valkygg. Inside Valkygg you'll run into a Draugr Deathlord who carries an ebony bow. I called it a dragon mask ruin, because its one of the ruins that one of the dragon priests haunts and of course all dragon priests have masks so you can obtain his mask if so wanted to go that far. Other dragon priest tombs have ebony gear inside as well and if skilled enough you should be able to get them early in the game.

with my breton assassin, I make up my own quests, and kill npc's i dont like or

just consider to be unessential, meaning they dont sell something or represent

a faction i dont want to anger.

make up a story and immerse yourself

then kill some npc or 5 in a nightly killing spree.

my breton might just snap soon, and clear out an entire hold.

depends I'll make a secondary save and then see if i can still

beat the game after murdering every man woman and (looking for a

mod that allows me to kill children)

just in case i can revert the save and become the "good guy"

who only murders for profit, or sport, or a strange feeling of not

having murdered in a while... you know, just like in the back of your

mind you hear all this breathing.... everywhere you go....

theres only one way to stop the breathing,...

and that my friends, is immersion =D

Well I love sneaking up behind people and killing them, I will have to try the reverse pick pocket thing, however I LOVE crafting, once you get all enchantment perks you can have two enchantments per item. I also use two crafting mods that make it better the third I liked killed the game after the update. AHHHH how nice it will be to mod my own house or be able to fix a few places I like to hang around.
