firsTraveler
I married the argonian. For some reason she now acts as a store and even gives me half the profits, but she never even leaves the houe! Skyrim marriage needs a total overhaul. xXSoulessWandererXx
@Vindekarr I play as a female Nord for storyline, because I play females a lot, the aesthetics, etc. and I have married Ysolda. In real life, I support same-sex marriage and don't give a **** about what other people say. It's a good life I must say. Now back on topic, yes this would be an interesting mod and one that I will download if created. I support this idea and hope to see it in the future. McShooterz
Married NPCs don't stop doing their normal day to day things if you move in with them, but if you have them in your house, then yes they do nothing.I guess they would need a new AI for each city with a house they can living in. I would suggest the ability to choose a new profession for them which results in what they give you; open a store they give money, work at a forge they give you smithing materials, take up alchemy and give you random alchemical ingredients, work for the court wizard to give soul gems. Actually doing these things would take much more work, but right now they are not physically running the store they opened, so this would just give you options for free stuff. Suyeta
She could allow you to sleep with her (Not sex just like sleeping next to her) Now that would be realistic! LMMFAO

Cleverbot
Oh wow. I havent been on here for a time. And now theres three pages. Well thanks all for ur feedback. Will help at getting the modders interest. And for the people wondering, no i never just sit and watch my wife. I just think its strange she is just doing the same thing agin and agin. "Hello my love" Getting tired of it.... And her just sitting doing nothing... I personally hate the whole voice AI in the game.
gyrofalcon
How if this "Spouse mod" included things likeCheating: The PC can cheat with other NPC in other towns/places. Of course its a risk of the spouses the find out about this.(travelling merchants, travelling friends of spouse, great news like PC becomes a Hero, random gossip etc)Can even marry several NPC in different towns. The guard doesn't share crime records, so how can a spouse automatically find out about this?If PC is to long away from the spouse (its more difficult if PC has several) the higher are the odds that the Spouse cheating, even possible with the Jarl.If the PC or Spouse get suspicious, they can launch a quest-line including everything like priests of Mara, adventures (or PC can do it by it self), use of fraction (like Mages, Theifes, Brotherhood) or assassins to investigate and/or punish the cheating one.Divorce: Several things could be trigger here, but the PC risk of loosing house and a share of the gold/gear/items. (need of places to hide such things.) Even quest items can be "lost in a divorce" so the PC needs to find a way to get it back (steal, raid, bargain, trick etc)Of course a nasty divorce will do a reputation hit on the PC, with ingame consequence. (need to do more good deeds to "overwrite" the bad impressions, etc)Gossip will be a good "early warning system" in case the PC those something foolish like this, and can then take measures. The epic point is when you go to Companions leader, and get the mission to find and kill a cheating bastard, and along the way you find out that its yourself you are about to kill! :D And the quest does a 180 on you and you need to clean up the mess, and find a way to end the mission without rousing suspicion from the Companions, or other involved. This mod could bring Skyrim to a hole other level.
Tsixth
I think what would be sweet and add to the realism of marriage would be certain post marriage quests that a player would have to do. Like maybe, simple stuff such as following your wife for a walk or at least popping in for a visit once a week. If you don't do this regularly your wife should be rightfully feeling neglected, and it will affect your marriage. She would stop speaking so gently to you or giving you a cut of her profits, or just leave you. Cooler would be your wife starts cheating on you, and you'd get to do some sort of quest based on that, culminating in maybe scaring away her lover. Right now it seems I just come home after being away for months only to take her money and leave. Yet she still smiles and calls me "dear". I feel so guilty and irresponsible. JMMcNemo
Well, let's not go *crazy*... this is Skyrim, not The Sims. ^_^ There's only so much the game engine can manage, and I'd rather do without marriage at all if an improvement is gonna pull cycles away from everything else and make loading times drag on forever.
