How to see if my mod has necessary dependencies

For reference, here the mod I'm referring to: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78022/?

My mod currently has Update and Dragonborn as dependencies, but I'm not sure if both of these are in fact even necessary for it. Is there some way to see if I can remove these dependencies in the CK ?

The only things I think may be relevant is that for my custom item, I add vampire and certain additional races (vampire, e.g.) as races that can wear it.

Thanks !

"Clean Masters" with TES5Edit

Be sure to make manual esp.BAK before attempting.

  1. right click
  2. <ModName>.esp
  • you should see
  • ADD MASTER
  • SORT MASTER
  • CLEAN MASTER

For your master needs.

Do not Click the The Header and randomly remove Masters

You might get ERRORS.

If you manually remove a dependencies then open your Mod in CK then save.

CK puts it back, yes found out the hard way, & It Fixed.

So Clean Masters is way the go.

Thanks a lot, Peter--that worked very well. I appreciate the confirmation as well.

Is there any kind of issue with moving to the new .esp without that dependency for future (optional) dot releases ? My assumption is that if it was never needed in the first place, dropping it shouldn't be a problem moving forward.

No it will be fine, your mod doesn't alter any records in update.esm. I just thought that that alone wasn't major thing. But cleaning unnecessary masters in future Updates of your mod, can't be bad thing or harmful to your User Save since it doesn't any records in......

Gotta luv TES5edit it not replacement for Creation Kit but it so enhance it.

TES5edit is for me like the epitome of a programmer's program: 999 extremely valuable functions with zero concern for aesthetic, user friendliness. It's probably better that way though given that a few wrong button presses and you've nuked your mod !

Cheers man !
