Pineapplerum
I got an easy way to kill giants, I use that shout that summons nearby animals to fight on your behalf...the giant's beloved wooly mammoth ends up killing the giant. Lol! Toooooo Funny!!!! XD

UnderdogSMO
you know as much as some people would hate it the way skill ups work in this game, Beth would solve a lot of there balice/ difaculty problems if thay just did away with the standerd leveling systom of Helth/magic/stamina completly and went intierly with pirks and indavidual skills. you still level but instead of making stats like health and such go up, you just unlock ability and perks ((if you want to take less damage have better armor perks and such for a fighter more magic type perks for Magic use'ers an insted of adding tons of manna just make it so you can use less manna as you get better at spell casting, alsoUnlocking new spells as you "level" ETC)) if somthing is to hard for you get some new abilitys than go back and fight it again but adding health manna or Stamina EVERY level makes it to easy to f*** up
volnaiskra
I agree that dragons are easier to kill than giants. But I think it works ok that way. Fighting a dragon already feels like a fight of attrition. If they had more hitpoints, it would make the fights incredibly tedious. On the other hand, if they were faster and more aggressive (and therefore harder to hide from), they could become insurmountable on a lot of occasions (eg. when you get caught with low health and no potions). Since they are so ubiquitous, attack on sight, and take up half the map when they appear, that would be a big problem. My guess is that the dragons were harder originally, but Bethesda realised these things in testing and reduced their hitpoints as a compromise. My main gripe is you can defeat many of the creatures merely by standing on top of a rock. Neither the gorilla-like trolls nor the 5 metre giants can get you there. Or if they do, they go the long way round.......after which you simply drop off the rock, and they come back down.....the long way around.
CaptainChaos
I run and melee everything. My 30th level Shaman warrior considers both ranged weapons and sneaking dishonorable, and will only use poison on regenerating creatures or those that use poison themselves. I have hardly used enchanting or smithing, just a tiny bit, that came naturally, no crazy iron dagger exploits. This game is TOUGH on Master. With an armor rating of 460 (Steel Plate all around) and 400 health, some random enchanted items (ring, necklace and gauntlets of fortify one-handed attacks, so 60% extra damage) and almost every Heavy Armor, One-Handed/Mace, and Shield Perk and I still die in 2-5 hits, especially from Falmer and those centipede things, plus mages can also hurt. I finally can stand against Draugr Scourges or Deathlords, but I have to be very careful. It takes me 5-20 hits to kill the above. Incidentally, occasionally just to experimentation, I have tried fire magic against trolls and archery against vulnerable opponents. I don't understand. My attacks do almost NO DAMAGE. (I have a 20 in Destruction Magic, no perks, and 25 in Archery, No Perks). Some people have posted arrow duels with similar archery scores, supposedly on Master, doing massive damage. DK how they do that either. In summary, as a non-sneaking melee character, I find Master extremely challenging, often requiring tons of potions. I must have spent 50k on potions already in my 100+ hours of gaming.
