CaptainChaos
Wow. 300 points of damage in one bite. The Frost attack, despite my Nord resistance and shield bonus also causes about 200 hps of damage. Yikes.
oldspice2625
that's what i'm saying :O. People complain so much all the time. Those same people most likely use console cheats to get their perks all filled out, use god mode items via enchanting exploit, and play on adept... I only recently switched over to master, and damn, what a difference :O.
CaptainChaos
I have 400 armor. That's 300 damage OVER that. I admit I want my dragons to be ridiculously tough, especially an ancient one, but really that seems a bit rough. Then again, a bandit with a two handed axe can cause about 300 points of damage through my armor on this level of difficulty. Expert level prolly is more "realistic" but when you have 50 xp levels, everything wiill become too easy on anything less than master. I must have spent 50k on potions already just to stay alive! evermore
You have to play rather carefully on master before you get 100 enchanting/smithing, then you can start playing offensively again. Granted, you can certainly still get your ass kicked, should avoid the really nasty stuff. I recommend playing without using potions/scrolls, it is a fun challenge (assuming you don't mind dying and restarting =P) It also eliminates the alchemy/enchanting exploit. Even un-potion buffed enchanting is still damned strong tho, and the game certainly does get easier later on with master difficulty. The real challenge is getting to this point, I am starting off with a dual-wielding orc warrior with the no potions/master difficulty rule, and I have to be very careful, and very tricky about how I approach fights.
