jigs117
BUMP Seems alt+f4'ing out of the game sometimes prevents this from happening
ZurinArctus85
BUMP Seems alt+f4'ing out of the game sometimes prevents this from happeningDownload a clean save before the tutorial starts from here. Start the game, and load the clean save. Then load your oddly corrupt save. If it CTDs, it's your save.
kpneeb
BUMP Seems alt+f4'ing out of the game sometimes prevents this from happeningI have had this problem too. And I know my saves are clean. All its takes is a pc restart then bam, it loads. So I'll try the ALT F4 exit. Anybody else have this issue and fixed it? kpneeb
I have the same problem. Alt F4 does not seem to help. Just rebooting the PC. The saves are clean, so its not that. Bugging the hell out of me. Any ideas?

PeterMartyr
Learn to use the Task Manager  right click "TaskBar" then "Start Task Manager" :ermm: Find Steam or TESV & Fix It without Restarting  or keep Rebooting the PC if your not savvy Sorry. :wallbash:

chu121su12
Same over here. My installed mod includes Warzones + AA, Sands of Time, ETAC, TPOS, Immersive Wench, and Populated Skyrim. I know my save is "clean" (as in no uninstalled mod) because when playing Skyrim, you can save & load anytime and it won't CTD. Ok, maybe you can force the crash if you save & load really quickly, but for regular playing, it just does not happen. The CTD happened after you load for the first time (no CTD), then quit Skyrim, and then play again. Any save this time will have 90% chance CTD, even starting a new game. The way you can get to play again is: reboot (100% no CTD), disable mod (50% CTD), or, get this, add mod (50% CTD). But after disabling/adding mod playing and then quitting, the next attempt to load any save/new game will be back to 90% CTD.

I also have Immersive Wenches and Populated Skyrim, No Warzones but Monster Wars. Also tried using the task manager to remove any trace of Skyrim that might be lagging over... no luck yet. Get the feeling this is some sort of memory leak or it may relate to a Service Host function that Skyrim calls for and leaves active even after it closes. Not sure, anyone been able to find an answer for it yet?
