How can we fix the followers stats problem?

Currently there is a sort of bug in Skyrim where followers have their stats frozen from the moment they are loaded into the game. That means the longer you're with a certain follower, the weaker they'll become relative to some mercenary you just picked up in a new zone.

Currently there is only a fix for this on the PC, and consists of the following.

Step 1: Dismiss your follower.

Step 2: Activate console, click on the follower

Step 3: "Disable"

Step 4: "Enable" Note: Don't try to click on them again between steps 3 and 4.

Step 5: Ask them to follow you again. Their inventory is unaffected, but they unequip all their gear. They'll put it back on next zone change.

The quickest solution I can think for this is to add a dialogue line of "You look like you could use some rest" which goes through the cycle of dismiss/disable/enable/rejoin.

Any other ideas for how this could be fixed with an addon?

just setav wont be easier??

That would involve creating a table of what the values should be for each follower at each level. When you factor that there's nearly 40 followers, and the player can reach level 50, with 7.5 relevant stats (health, magic, stamina, 3-4 skills), that's 15,000 setav values.

true but you can only one at a time~~~~ besides personally i would love to set them on different states since for their different specialties~~~ if your want them the same~~ use bat ~~~it is faster easier and painless you wont need to set 15000~~~~ you dont even need to type so much

BTW, you know how to set their combat style?? i was trying to find out but ~~~~~none work till now

Each follower has a few skills (3-4) that they are 'good at' and the rest stay the same. =

Here is the list of what follower has what skill. Using the SETAV command, you'd have to figure out all 15000 values, or the equation for those values. What we need is a way to make the follower 'reset' (dismiss, disable, enable, join as follower) with an in-game command.
