steve40
Edit: Funny comment on the page asking how big the mod will be. (3.5 GB) When's the xbone version coming out? ;P That's the mess of it, isn't it? A PC only mod that is available on Bethnet but not the Nexus. Sounds like some kind of oxymoron or something. Well, turns out Vault 1080 is only 138 Mb. Not DLC sized at all. Oh well.
steve40
Meh. Like i've seen with a few comments here, any new content is a good thing. I mean, we're getting what looks like a fairly high quality mod to try out, and if it turns out to be a PoS, we can just uninstall it. No harm done. I've just dissected the mod. It adds f*#@all new assets. Disappointing.
HandofBobb
Erm, so when I download it from Beth.net, where does my computer put it?
SamFisher338
A quest mod (voice files) that's supposed to look "next gen" (large textures) with only 138 mb? Sure... We believe...
Relentlessx757
It's the real deal. Not earth-shattering but, all in all, not a bad mod, with one of the creepier vaults. Given that its raison d'etre appears to be to show off Godrays, it accomplishes its purpose.Oh s#*!, I have that bug too. Not sure if I have an older save because I'm on survival. Moraelin
Textures can only be powers of two at the moment. So, no, you can't have 10k textures. You can have 8k or 16k, but nothing in between.
TheFoxQueen
Haven't downloaded it yet, how much does the mod fit in Fallout? Is it worth playing if you're looking for a new and original vault experience, or is it rather generic?
tartarsauce2
I would suggest people learn the artistic techniques from the modwhy can't textures be... 8k + 2k?no not 10k, I said 8k + 2kone layer that shows up in certain ways based on angle while the other does whatever it does? as normal textures go8 texture, 2 texture and lines of sight /________ _ / _ / // / or some sorta thing where the texture shifts from one colour to another as the angle of sight changesbut the pattern of the texture stays the same Edited September 3, 2016 by tartarsauce2
AGreatWeight
Installed it this morning to try it out and see what the fuss was about, attempted to load my most recent save, got as far as the loading screen before CTD after twenty seconds. Uninstalled it, loaded recent save fine. I'd read about a few bugs and NVIDIA's recommendation to use a console command to bypass them. Geez, six months in development from a team based at NVIDIA and they can't even ensure it's bug/conflict free on launch. Or maybe it's because I'm using an AMD card?
