llloyd
So, I get though the Gauntlet, and the arena I can't see squat in, all large red walk though junk. So I install a single mod, http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17853/? , and that fixes it. Yay! i progress forward, get the squirt gun, and proceed to curb stomp Colton to a bloody pulp. But now Gage doesn't want to talk to me. So I can't play Nuka-World. I can't disable the mod since with out it I can't *SEE* anything except big red blurry things everywhere. So I am at an impasse, I can't play, how do I fix this?
pirRelli
What's the current stage and objective of the "Taken for a ride" quest?
llloyd
Dunno, Colten is dead, the quest marker is on Gage, so I can safely assume it's at the stage where I need to talk to him though the glass but he's not saying anything. Edit: Just thought of something and I wonder if it is that. There is a few ties between Nuka World and the Commonwealth. One being the Minutemen. That one makes sense, Preston wants you to build up settlements for the good of the Commonwealth where Nuka World will want you to build up settlements for Raiders, completely opposite goals. On this run though I never stopped in Concord, I, instead, went east from Red Rocket and got a T45 from a downed Vertibird. I then used Red Rocket as a placed to dump my stuff and repair my armor but have been pretty much unsettled. I wonder if having the 'Go to Concord, meet Preston for the first time, take out a Deathclaw, and send him onto Sanctuary' quest stuck at the very beginning with zero progress is breaking Gage? pirRelli
You could try forcing the quest to continue. Use "setstage <quest-id> 820" or "setstage <quest-id> 1000" and see if it works. Make a backup save before you do that. Quest-ID should be XX000801 with XX being the position of Nuka-World in your loadorder.
llloyd
Ok, that worked after a fashion. Though I do notice something interesting. The load order in Nexus Mod Manager is different than the load order that pops up in FO4Edit. According to the NMM Nuka World is mod 8, according to FO4Edit it's mod 6 and, indeed, that is what worked, setstage 06000801 1000 . Even though Loot set Spring Cleaning and Armored Keywords before Workshop02, Workshop03, and Nuka World, FO4Edit and, apparently, FO4, puts those two after Nuka World. Huh. Odd. pirRelli
This is odd indeed, LOOT should not put any mod's .esm before an official DLC. I would rearrange them manually.
llloyd
I did, just not sure of the official release order. Workshop1, Workshop2, Workshop3 is ambiguous, what is Workshop DLC and which is Contraptions? As it is now it's DLCRobot (Automatron), DLCWorkshop01, DLCCoast (Far Harbor), DLCWorkshop02, DLCWorkshop03, then DLCNukaWorld. I'll see if I can post a message on the Loot forums about this, might be a bug in the Master File.

I had a similar thing with Dara of the Hubologists - flag above her head but she wouldn't talk to me. I just ignored her and went to the junkyard and eventually she and the rest of her crew followed me, then the quest continued as normal.
