SirFrank114
Wish I had known before connecting with STEAM. Game was going pretty good till today. I can load a game but instead of 15-30 sec. it now takes 3-4 minutes. My number of items arrow keys no longer work, the mouse and bar select still do. I do hope someone gets this problem fixed. trollmar
Hey guys I don't know if it will help you but I reverted after an update. I forgot to set steam to offline mode last night so it update while I was at school. I saw all the negative press so I went poking around to see what files in my directory updated. It looks like the only files that updated were skyrim.exe and skyrim-interface.bsa. I simply went to both of those files and reverted to an older version ... right click / properties / previous versions. I don't know if there are the only files that change so if others know of more let me know. Either way I reverted both of those files and I was able to load the game and checked my saved games and everything seemed to work well. I hope this helps. I did do all of this before I even booted up the game. Maybe that helped.

Deleted2030607User
Biohack, sorry about the ignorance, but... how do I make steam verify the game cache? Open Steam > Skyrim > Properties > Local Files > Verify Game Cache Apparently when you download patch 1.2 which I unfortunately did without knowing it was going to bomb my game, it doesn't dl everything correctly. At least this is an issue for some people. You will know this is an issue for you if your running 4 GB mod and it says your missing a file / cannot find a file. Verifying your cache will solve this problem.
gypsy0032
I can still play, but now when fighting dragons they die mid combat, go nuclear, and kill me. WTF???? If I'm lucky enough that the fiery death doesn't kill me I'm fighting skeletal dragons that do insane amounts of damage.
OLC78
Was using 4gb fixhttp://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1013 to fix all CTD's with new patch this no longer works :-( If I run game normally CTD as soon as i enter Whiterun. I laso have a really strange one Crash to CTD when I try to savegame :-( Loading fine.... Luckily had old exe backed up......works fine (original b4 any updates with 4gb allow loader)... Hope Beth sort this blody game out soon, starting to wish I had bought COD instead an asked for this for xmas :-/ Edit:-Just removed all mods etc worked fine, culprit to stopping game from saving = adding enchanting table to breezehome BAH! all good now with 4gb fix file Edited November 30, 2011 by OLC78
joeboealder
My Skyrim just got the update to 1.2 and doesn't work now. It just stays on the screen with the Skyrim logo, the menu doesn't appear, and it won't do anything. Opening my task manager shows it is still running, so its not a crashing issue, just can't get past that menu screen, anyone else having this problem? Same man im actually gald im not alone
elderiii
Working great for me. I do have a heavily tweaked .ini file, (which makes the game look better than almost any mod I've seen thus far) and that is a simple enough matter to backup as needed. However I have avoided all the early mods for this precise reason. Of course patches are going to break mods that are essentially hacks - wait until the tool that we are supposed to use is released so that the mods can be properly integrated with the game the way they are meant to be. Or as Homer Simpson would say "Doh!" :wallbash:
