Dragon Armor

Kinda irked me that I could make Daedric Armor before I could make Dragon Armor... but Dragon Armor is weaker than Daedric Armor.

Dragons are the main theme here - I want the Armor better than Daedric. Alduin's a god or a son of a god too, right? (not that I need any justification). Even though I have a full suit of Daedric armor, I just keep it on display. I kinda think the scales should have natural enchantments anyways, certain resistances to fire and/or ice. Even resistance to shouts.

What would also be 'kinda' nifty is enhancing weapons with Dragon scales/bones to give them a new skin perhaps and maybe some imbued effects. (ie: frosty dragon gives you frosty attack, ancient dragon gives you more power, blood dragon makes things bleed more).

It'd be fun.

Daedric may be classic and coming from gods... but they're old hat. Dragons are the new kids on the block. Lets blow it up.

Check out this: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1935

It's main function is adding Dragonbone WEAPONS, but it also buffs Dragon armor to be slightly stronger than Daedric

I agree that Dragonbone should be better than Deadric, but there is a good reason why it's more difficult to make. Dragons haven't existed for thousands of years. You may be the first person to ever try and make it. You can learn how to make Deadric from someone else, but you have to invest Dragonbone on your own! Which is an in-story reason it should be better than Deadric.

I've thought about that as well, I just didn't want to get too wordy in my first post. Figured that was a given for an explanation. I still don't like it though. I don't even think we should be able to craft Daedric - it's far too common like that, besides, it's supposed to be the stuff of gods - perhaps I'm wrong.. but I believe it supposed to come from the realms of Oblivion. Perhaps it's just me and nostalgia but I don't remember Daedric "artifacts" (which the armor should be categorized as) being that prevalent in say... Morrowind. Sure, there were a few very powerful figures, heads of houses and what not, that did have these sets of powerful armor. But crafting it? I don't know.

Granted, Oblivion, you leveled high enough and everyone owned a set. It amazed me that they still had to hit people on the road considering their vast wealth in owning armor like that.

And I'm awesome crafter (according to the game) I should know how to create super awesome dragon armor, especially if I learned the secrets of Daedric smithing.

'sides all that, to me, and me only (I don't speak for anyone else), I think the Daedric armor set just kills the theme of the whole game. Too spiky for my tastes anyways, reminds me of...The Shrike (which is an awesome character from an awesome series of books).

Moving on... there's a mod there, looks good enough to use for now. I still like my idea of dragon enhanced weaponry (like wmk's!!....maybe) - and a variety of different styles of all armors for that matter would be cool. Different looks and styles (but keep the stats). Guess I'll wait til January.
