craig1975
Hi all, I had a control issue after the patch. The continue, new, load menu never loaded on startup. When I reverted to the original TESV.exe the game ran but could no longer store items in containers. After trying various things, the following worked. 1) Make a copy of preference files in My Games ... in a separate folder.2) Verify game cache though steam (Steam downloaded the new version of TESV.exe - which got me back to the menus not loading)3) Uncheck all additional .esp files4) Run directly from TESV.exe in steam dir - it should now run ok5) Check .esp files one by one / in groups and check each time that get main menus6) If menu loads ok then leave .esp active else remove7) Repeat until have all compatable .esp files activated8) Copy and replace preferences files Note I found that is was Valcrafting Meltdown Alpha that was causing the issue. I have now disabled the automatic update in the steam options! This solved my issue, but I am still starting out in the game and if some of the .esp will allow the menus to load but break the game I can not say. I am now running using skyrim4gb, so will get some gametime in over the weekend. Good luck, hopefully this helps and they will allow beta testers for future patches! NewmanLim
Try helping me solve mine guys.....after installing the patch, my dual wielding speed drops, the animation kinda revert back to the one without the perk, at 1st i thought it was my mod sword but later I found out that every one handed weapon is the same except for pickaxe and the woodcutter axe. Kinda make me feel "weak" again~ zzzzzz
sarnz
Here's what worked for me: In order to revert back to the 1.1 version of Skyrim, PC gamers will have to download these important, non-patched files. After that, go ahead and delete the Skyrim.ini and Skyrimprefs.ini files in my /user/Documents/My Games/Skyrim/ folder, remove all the modded textures and ESMs (in order to avoid any incompatibility issues), and restart Steam in offline mode. http://www.dsogaming.com/news/skyrim-how-to-revert-back-to-v1-1-creation-kit-coming-in-january-steam-workshop-to-be-integraded/ Edited December 2, 2011 by sarnz
