Blocked from viewing? Why?

For the past week and a half I have noticed many mods that have been blocked from viewing, and this has not become too common in the past. I understand some people are working on projects, but this feature has been overly used. Every day I view mods to look for something new, there are about 2-3 mods blocked. Is there something that must be always kept a secret? Is there a problem with the website? I would be unable to accept it if there will be a day when 90% of the mods are unviewable.

If they're Adult-only contents, read this.

I recently uploaded a simple 'mod' for FO3, but apparently ratings/comments are blocked. I don't remember ever specifying I wanted them disabled, because I don't. Anyone know how I can re-enable/allow ratings and comments? I looked under 'Edit Files' and all that, but I can't see any options for that. Thanks.

As far as I know, there's no way to enable comments and ratings, only disable them. I think you'll have to delete and reupload the file.

xxXEvandarXxx is correct, it is a one time option at the time you create the file page, once you hit submit it cannot be changed....the default setting is to allow ratings and another for comments/ratings.

On blocked files, they belong the creator and he may block them at anytime for his own reasons. But this is usually done while uploading the file, description and accompanying images, or when the file is hidden due to corrective measures being taken for bug fixes and game breaking issues.

Additionally the admin and staff will set files hidden at times, there are many reasons for this, among them copyright infringement, stolen files, and other situations as they deem prudent for the smooth operations of the site.
