VulGROHiik
Until the CK comes out this is on hold but I'm putting the idea out there. Though I will need help creating this. Back story: I am slightly Ill at the moment and i fell asleep while I was playing skyrim and had a dream. In this dream obviously I was the Dragon Born, I had killed a few dragons and learned new shouts. Idea: The shouts in question did not do harm Shout name: Dragon Calm (Recharge 80, 130, 300)Word 1: Fron (Dragon becomes non hostile for 30 seconds)Word 2: Fahdon (Dragon becomes non hostile for 60 seconds)Word 3:Osos (Dragon becomes friendly to player permanently and allows you to converse with friendly dragons, Excludes Alduin(Obviously)Use:For those of us (like me) who like dragons and do not always wish to kill them. Shout name: Request Soul (Recharge: None)Word 1: SilWord 2: PraanWord 3: NuUse: Can be used in conversation with friendly dragon to request their soul without having to harm them. This will only be available as an option during conversation and the shout will be automatic. The younger the dragon the less of a chance it will work. (Excludes: All dragons with a real name) Other notes and ideas:Conversations with dragonsMore than just two new shoutsChoice whether or not to kill dragons by force or peaceful meansDragon teachings (ability for dragons to teach you words of the tongue) Also the words for the shouts currently are changeable so If you have suggestions for different word choices it would be appreciated. Community feedback and support/ideas/contributions would prove to be a big help Edited December 1, 2011 by VulGROHiik
Pierry
Hello, although I'm new here I think this is one of the best ideas for Skyrim.I'd like to just ask how do you imagine the conversation like? Will they act as followers at first or?If you're interested I could have some new ideas for it.
Galacticat42
Interesting idea, it could work in my mod. Edited December 3, 2011 by Budz42

darkylord
Requesting their souls would be kinda weird, if you want, when you create them, make the info say something like "request the dragon's knowledge" which would make more sense :P Other than that, maybe you could add some friendly dragons (by default) in a place so you can add a quest line to them and maybe something like when you become friend with an other 10 dragons you get some extra power, armor or something like that. Also the first shout about making them friendly could be given there ( or at least one of them and they could give you hints where to find the other 2 if you haven't already). Matth85
Wouldn't it be too easy? Consider these are dragons: Who know the dragon language by heart and wanted to enslave the mortal race. I mean, simply getting a few words from a stone, totally out in the open, and now you got best friends.
greivan2
I have spoilers, don't read if you havn't completed :) I think the best way to do this would be to add a friendly dragon faction that you can go to after the end of the main quest when you defeat Alduin. If you don't kill Parthurnaax, then he flies off with some other dragons to spread his 'Way of the Voice' to other dragons, so instead of flying around causing destruction they train in the Way of the Voice and perfect it, passing it on to others (like Parthurnaax did for Greybeards) Of course, if you do what the Blades tell you and kill Parthurnaax before the end of the main story, there wouldn't be a friendly faction, perhaps if you kill him after the main story at the friendly dragon base, all dragons would be hostile again :) Perhaps being friendly with Parthurnaax's dragons would give you a shout to summon a small dragon mount... Matth85
I am not sure how loyal the other dragons are to him. Consider they are all reanimated by Alduin, and Parthaurnaax and Alduin got quite the hate-hate relationship going.

Good point, but why couldn't you get the shouts as well after completing quests? And yeah, requesting souls is quite odd but we can still change that. Emmarae
You instantly unlock these shouts after acquiring all other shouts. These shouts you are forming up will make the game too easy. Make them a reward. Or, better yet, make them only accessible with the 9th dragonpriest mask, the one you need to collect all 8 and the wooden one for.
