  1. Awesome character reels! Going to be a long while until I'm ready for any voice acting, but you certainly fit several characters I have in mind.
  2. God yes. Loved the fact that auto-sheathe was removed in Witcher 2, so I was wondering why they thought it would be a good idea to bring it back in 3. 'Twas absolutely annoying when he kept putting his sword away in the first game.
  3. I think it would be neat if there were usable armor stands in the game in a personal room at Kaer Morhen or at a house if he ever gets to buy one from a DLC, expansion or mod.
  4. Well I only get there through the forums.nexusmods.com which is (was?) the main page that I have my bookmark on and that sends me to the 'old' subdomain. So, should I update the bookmark if there's a new main page? 'Cuz the forums nexusmods page still works for me. EDIT: Oh, I see what's going on. Apparently the xcom nexusmods link broke from that forums main page. All the links for all the different games still say <game>.nexusmods.com but then bring me to nexusmods.com/<game>/ EXCEPT for the xcom link which goes to xcom.nexusmods.com.
  5. So last week I went to go look through the Xcom mods over on xcom.nexusmods.com aaaaand I get this page instead: I thought that maybe it was just down temporarily and would be up in a few days. It's been a week and it's still like that. Is it just me? If so, how can I fix it? If XCom Nexusmods has been hacked or is down, how long might it be until it's working again? I've tried googling this problem, and it seems that no-where on the nexus is this talked about.
  6. @Amineri Thanks for the reply, I suppose I forgot how Firaxis likes to mess with representative scales (Civ 3, 4, 5 anyone?). Anyway, after I got the laser cannon, I noticed that it hits a lot more - I suppose I'll have to spend thousands on those things. @zeppelin1717 I already use that as part of my first Long War game.
  7. Hey all, been using the Long War mod now for about a week, and I just can't help but wonder what monkeys could possibly get past pilot training to miss these giant-arsed ships. These things would literally be bigger than buildings, effectively making the statement 'unable to hit the broad side of a barn' a sadly true sentiment. So, I was combing through the config files to see if I could change the aim of interceptors without changing the aim of everything else (i.e. not changing Cinematic's config variable). With failure to see any said variable, I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction if anything like what I described exists.
  8. Google brought me here. I say the thread stays alive for now. And yea I'm having like 40kbps downloads with NMM right now when usually I have the full 1mbps. Hopefully it goes away soon - I'm updating mods to get back into Skyrim from a long break.
  9. f*#@itall. I've been wrestling with the forum for the past hour to edit the OP. For some reason it keeps changing my post into BB code. I'll flag down a moderator or something in the morning.
  10. Summer holiday. I'm already gathering the resources I've already created and am going to comb through them to see what still applies. Now that Zinnorokkrah's finished quite a bit of research on Tamriel lore and that Bethesda's announced it won't make anymore DLC, I'm not going to be as hesitant in making a product that could be collateral damage to an official update. In addition to this, I was going to see if Mujuro would release his SMARTCast module, but he hasn't been active on the Nexus for a month and hasn't touched his mod for even longer. So a smarter follower won't be a part of the picture until something comes along. Which reminds me... I gotta update the OP; some of the info there is either obsolete or found out to be impossible without extraneous incompatibilities.
  11. Went to check for an update today when I noticed the mod was hidden by the author. A real pity he's disappeared.
  12. Honestly, I've been scraping together anyone that was willing and able, but that proved to be a bit of a mistake seeing that people tend to forget these things if they're not really committed to it which would in turn leave the mod hanging on the people that would sign up, but don't bother to check in.
  13. I'd check out all the source files and CK coloring properties of the Dawnguard lava then take that recipe for lava and make my own.
  14. This is perfect! Thanks a LOT for this tutorial. I've been meaning to find a way to merge .esp's together for my mod without going through too many steps. (Esmify with Wrye Bash, then over to the CK ini for version control then CK for version control merging, then espify with Wrye... Too messy).
  15. I have a theory. You guys having trouble with SBW need to download the Dragonborn compatible SKSE version. If SBW is having trouble opening Skyrim, then don't have it open Skyrim - just have it open SKSE and SKSE can then open Skyrim. This way your game should open without trouble with a borderless windowed mode.
  16. Seriously, are you trolling?I don't think as much trolling as he is confused with controversial fine lines. Facebook was thought of as a stolen idea. Steve Jobs 'stole' the credit for Apple when he didn't program a single line of MacOS. Bill Gates 'stole' DOS and had friends make Microsoft out of it when he took the credit. Point being those examples all had their trials in court and were all paid for one way or another. I do agree with you steve on all your other points, but I think Mr. Bad Advice here is just confused.
  17. Just came to check on the thread and found my last post can be rather misleading to the general public... The follower I was referring to was one I talked to Neo and Zinno about that's a new character. To kill two birds with one stone, I eliminated the need for a Farengar voice actor as no Nexus VA's want to nor can duplicate Farengar Secret-fire's voice and accent by introducing this new follower in addition to making the mod more fluid with the main quest line.
  18. Well, we're all still working on this, I'm just taking a different approach to it to make the mod more fluid. As it was, the quest line I already had for it didn't allow any breathing room for the player which is never a good idea. Plus I'm filling in some holes on the existing story. In addition to this, I've restarted the ESP since the one I was working with was dirty edits galore and I felt that too many aspects of the dungeons in that ESP needed to be changed. Badly. So, I'm starting anew with the follower I told you about and will be working from there to get the story to be more believable. On top of all this, we've already discussed, that other parts of the mod needs to be changed to coincide with the Dragonborn DLC lore.
  19. For a more specific answer, on whether or not 'emulators' are legal really has to do with what you're emulating on your computer. Generally obsolete systems and games with an out-of-date EULA would be considered legal - seeing as the company that originally made it hasn't bothered to keep a proper, updated copyright on said product which is a flag for public domain (For example Pacman or Tetris). Other games and systems that have an active EULA and Copyright would be considered illegal to emulate (ie Pokemon or Mario). Personally I wouldn't touch emulators with a 20-foot pole.
  20. I was using the messenger to PM someone for a mod permission, when the guy responded, I pressed the kudos [+] button. Then suddenly instead of bringing me to the kudos confirmation page, I was brought to the Skyrim Nexus "You can't Kudos yourself, Loser" page and was logged in as the guy I was giving kudos to! Of course, having no desire to get in trouble nor even be on his account, I pressed the back button then the kudos button again, which brought me to the proper confirmation page. I'm using Firefox v18.0.1 and pressed the button on the man's post inside the Nexus Messenger page. OS: Win 7 x64 Home Premium
  21. Nope. The winged humanoid dovah form will use the werewolf skeleton with new animations. @samv96UK We can use any and all help offered.
  22. Looks good! Speaking of Dawnguard, well to those who played it, I know for a fact the player can get another dragon as a companion. I just thought of perhaps tying that into the Path story in a sense of allowing to recruit that dragon into the Order if the player has the Dawnguard expansion. Also there is those deep-sea dragons that bursts out of the ice, which I think the player would be able to recruit them too if they have the expansion. Sounds good. Note: I'm replying with the picture & everything as a pic reference to my previous post.

  24. Okay, so after playing through parts of Dawnguard with insane crashes and anger over unused scripts that didn't let me play freely (When I want to enjoy my game I tend to go crazy with testing out other mods). And have also been watching play throughs, etc... Anyway, after looking at the new perks system, I thought I should just clean up what I started with this mod's perks. I had the pieces but I didn't fit them together - until now. I redesigned the perk tree and will fit it (hopefully) into its own Dovah perk window. This however does have to be looked through more carefully. Last time I checked was back in 1.6 when the vampire perk value was first created. Regardless, I'll try to get the perk window in one way or another. Below is the concept image of the redesigned Dovah perk tree, I've kept quite a few perk names, but what they do will most likely change. As it is insanely late here, I'll fill in what the perks actually do tomorrow.
  25. I've searched and couldn't find my problem anywhere so might as well put it here and see what people say. So I entered Riften, looked around, slept at the Bee and Barb then went off to the Dawnguard place. Upon entering everyone was hostile. I do know that sometimes they're hostile because you have a bounty in The Rift. So I went back to Riften and talked to a guard... Nothing. No 'You've caught me' option, no hint of any bounty at all. I head into the Bee and Barb again and Louis Letrush starts wailing on me out of no where. I haven't accepted his quest and I didn't do anything to deserve his wrath. After looking up the glitch in the UESP, I decided to just disable him. Could Letrush's glitch be my problem? Could that be why Dawnguard was hostile? I have no curses, no diseases and no poisons... nothing but a blessing from Mara and a tweaking NPC. I do have mods, but nothing that's been connected with any of my problems.
