willumjsmith
So I've been trying to learn everything I can about how to work the creation kit to make a mod that I thought about. It's my first mod that I'll be creating so I am working on it bit by bit. I'm starting small with only using files and items that are in the game already. The one thing that I am having trouble with is that for my mod to work, I need to have the weather set at one kind for the entire play through. It is kind of important for the tone of the mod that the weather stays in the heaviest overcast setting (I'd love for it to be foggy at the same time but i think that's pushing it with workable weather settings) but I can't figure out how to do that. Could someone steer me in the right direction?
Moraelin
Well, basically you just have to edit the climate, and change the probabilities for the various weather patterns. Just make sure it adds up to 100%. You can open one of my weather mods in FO4Edit to see exactly what I've done, if that's not clear: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6339/? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6395/? In your case, basically just edit that one list, delete everything except overcast or overcast and foggy or whatever, and set the one remaining climate's probability to 100. Note that I'm not sure if you can actually keep only one weather, since some places have their own climate (e.g., the perpetual radstorm in the Glowing Sea), and I strongly suspect that places lime marshes have their own added probability for rain and such. Plus I suspect that the game can just pick a random weather anyway when you fast travel. But at least you can make that weather of yours be on like 99% of the time, which should be pretty good, I think.
Teabone3
Yeah just create a climate file and put only one weather in it , set to 100% as mentioned above.
