1stghost13
I have a Question. It is possible to do some changes for a Higher Sound Level?
Robynah
Not that I know of. Was hoping this would be in the 1.2 patch as it affects most players i.e. anyone not using surround sound.
eric31415
To raise volume, just open the Skyrim prefs.ini and scroll down to "fAudioMasterVolume=1.000" I have the variable set to 5.500, think it sounds good.

Robynah
I think that's a placebo.
agno
the ini option never worked for me. In my particular case I noticed a very minor thing i could improve. in my volume control I found a master setting that was at 90%this was on the sound control panel for realtek hd, the settingallows you to change the speaker balance, but both left andright were at 90, so i boosted to 100%. double check your balance settings and make sure both are maxed if thats an issue. I got another 10% but i still have to crank myamp to just under max, and I have to remember to turn it back downwhen i quit, or it WILL BLAST OUT SOUND! lol imagine if I got a skype call? "dragon born! you've come at last---" "BEEEEEEEEP BOOOP BOOOP BOOOP!!!!!!!!!" (sleeping neighbour calls the cops)
eric31415
@1stghost13 - No prob. @Robynah - Having a healthy respect for the placebo effect, i just did some testing with different values. Here are my results; 0.000 - no sound at all0.100 - barely detectable audio9.000 - sounds like it's supposed to99.000 - doesn't seem any louder than 9.00010.000 - it tried this thinking that maybe it only reads the digit before the . but it's about the same as the last two. left it set here All tests were done on the same save. @Robynah & agno - If you have a minute, please repeat my experiment and post your results here, so i know if i should add the caveat "results may vary".
