Matth85
They are not dwarf, they are dwemers. Elves. They are at the same height as any race we got today. They are caleld "dwarf", or dwemer, because it was the giants who told other races about them. And they were small for the giants. The dwemer were vile, and enslaved the Snow Elves. They tried to make their own God, or rather: give him a form, and dissapeared trying.

Matth85
Nope. There is no "dwarf" in TES, as far as I know. Some fun fact for you, elves are called mer, like humans are called men. That's why they are called Dwemer. So that means they are elves. Underground, technological, vile, elves. THough, as a fun mod, I wouldn't mind a dwarf. I still miss my Runepriest dwarf from Warhammer Online :3 He was so usefull and awesome.

Matth85
Well, they are dwarf for the Giants. Then again, everybody is a dwarf for the giants.
Riffzor
I actually think I'll have to dissagree. Dwarves aren't part of the lore in TES. Dwemer are, as mentioned, a Mer-race (elf) which had about the same size as a common man (Dwemer ghosts can be encountered in Morrowind). And making them playable? Nah, they're supposedly all dead by now, reviving them would be weird. Hadvar asks; 'Who are you?' You: 'I'm a Dwemer, tee-hee.' Captain: '.... Take that prisoner aside for questioning and disection.' Though I usually love dwarves, they haven't got a place in TES.
Matth85
Consider people are making dragon transforming mods and probably moon base mods, I hardly see a problem. It is not lore friendly, and nobody should ever think so. Dwemers are mers, elf, not dwarf. However, for a fun mod I see no problems.
Bernhardewers
well putting dwarfs in TES world isnt maybe that good idea but i im thinking more for fun and maybe future mods that are not set in tamriel Hadvar asks; 'Who are you?' You: 'I'm a Dwemer, tee-hee.' Captain: '.... Take that prisoner aside for questioning and disection.'hahahaha Edited December 2, 2011 by Bernhardewers

Question: TES Lore only is the lore of tamriel isnt that right... so possibly there could be other continents even bigger with a wide variety of beings roaming around...Besides not everything has to go with lore...'Thinking' is what you need...To think what might be possible... what conditions do we have to implement, what to change...Authors can make mistakes (inconsistencies) in their storytelling and lore... Could it be possible that the elder scrolls are a lie perpetuated by secret societies...
