  1. Didn't Oblivion have that? In Skyrim, the best you can do is go to your inventory and press F on the items you want to favourite, and then quick-access the list of your favourite gear by pressing Q - but in Oblivion we had 1-8 as quick-favourite buttons, no?
  2. There are a few rapiers around on Nexus, but most feel like they're either too manga-fantasy inspired or have the common 'under steel smithing' curse, leaving them quite useless in the end-game or way too strong in the start. So what I'd like to see, is an all-around 'duelist' weapon mod, giving each 'type' a rapier and a main gauche (Iron, Steel, Elven, Glass, etc.), and to keep them balanced, leaving them with the same damage and weight as their respective swords. Here's a picture of a basic rapier: http://outbcoor.info/img.php?fl=p5o4l4g403v2p2r5m4a4a494q414k4s5h4j5n5i584e4p4k5q4v274v5e424o5t5i464i5l584t506k5z5r244f4e4c4l426e4e4f4r2g4s5a4l5d4w554m4q3w213m4k3v3q2q5h4m5 And here's a main gauche (trident dagger): http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRkmvyC-_Vdcljx_pfWI9hpGjNS6u4ZwYrbdGUYY4hspQSIRMEvEVGj68mL Hilts are prefered, as well (for both, as I - and many others - use dual-sheath) Cheers. =)
  3. That would be awesome. What sort of stats are you giving the armour though?
  4. Ouch mate, that's a real shame. =s And yeah, I feel your pain too. Once spent 450 hours in GtkRadiant making a huge castle with village, then my hard drive died and the entire project went down the well. Glad you're not giving up though, really looking forward to raiding Edoras!
  5. This has been suggested atleast once already, and I still think it'd be a good idea. Besides it saves you 1000g for buying that spare horse... =3
  6. How fun isn't it that I thought about just this earlier this morning whilst trying to figure out how far a total-realism mod should go? Well, I suppose it would be... Interesting? But as with all the immersion mods, it could cause some trouble when fast-travelling - unless it'll be made to automatically stop up and empty the bladder on the way. Then again, I'm not sure wether I'd use it or not, I guess it'd be sort of amusing in some way the first few times, but watching your character pee (especially when like me, playing an Orc) several times a day may get a bit too... Much.
  7. I see. Well, as long as the door isn't just standing in the middle of nowhere or pops into a shack which houses half of Middle-Earth it should be fine. I think a sort of Stargate-like portal inside a cave or dungeon would be cool.
  8. It would require quite some extensive designing on both the meshes and animations of the Chaos demons, especially the greater ones. Would be cool though.
  9. You've got this one, that looks sort of egyptian. Witch Armour by Neo.
  10. So, basically, I'd like a proper end-boss for a dungeon project I'm working on, and what I'd like to have is a dragon. Although considering the limited space and relatively low cieling, it won't have any space to fly in, and fluff-wise it's supposed to be a captive dragon which had its wings clipped to make sure it would forever be kept in check by the captors. Is there a function in the CK ready for a non-flying dragon encounter, or would it require scripting? And if so, how do I do that? Thanks.
  11. Thing with the Army of Rohan though, is that it's summoned from all of Rohan, not just Edoras. Edoras in the capital and AFAIK the largest city, but as explained in the movies, detatchments for all regions are mustered before they ride for Pelenor, getting a few hundred to some thousand riders from several different places. Rohan is, after all, a very large place.
  12. It's looking really nice, and I'm keeping my eyes on this topic. I've got two questions though; will all the houses be given interriors and be fully 'usable' (NPC homes with respawning loot and whatnots), and how do you intend to connect it to the Skyrim world? Keep up the good work. =)
  13. Looks nice, would be a valid option for my Thalmor spellsword.
  14. I like any lore-friendly RP mods. Farming would definately be a fun option to fame and richess! ... Well, perhaps not fame and richess, but atleast enough to feed your family.
  15. Yeah, wouldn't it? =) Another cool feature would be... Prison Wagons! Like a normal horse-drawn wagon, but with a cage on its back, which moves around. For safe transportation of unsafe people!
  16. Don't bump your own thread. Don't know how, I'm afraid. Have you tried googling it?
  17. That's not really what the OP requests though, Draugr aren't really zombies at all, IMO. Zombies; undead humanoid creatures risen from the dead through the work of a necromancer, a witch's curse or by some rare disease, braindead and unable to use any sort of weapons, generally just walk about or stand idly until someone crosses their path. The Draugr are more like the old tales of mummified guardians of their tomb/shrine where they remain in slumber until a tresspasser comes by - which they'll try to murder. They have some intelligence left atleast, being able to use both melee weapons, shields and bows - some even magic and dragon shouts. They also do, occasionally, mutter something in their old language in combat.
  18. Actually sat staring rather absent-mindedly at the Speech tree just the other day thinking '... Well, this is pointless?'. Great idea, I'd say. I never quite could figure a worthwhile way of RP'ing a Merchant in a single-player game where all you do is sell stuff and buy stuff - losing like 70% of the gold in between the two. I remember playing a Pirate game a few years back, Cutthroats I think it was called, which had a quite cozy trading system; certain cities had an aboundance of one type of wares, whilst another city came about having nothing at all of those wares, but a fair bit of another - thereby affecting the prices of different products in different regions. I suppose that'd require a bit more of a job than merely adding dialogue options and twisting the perk tree about though. Also, loving the thought of the great, famous Dovahkin running about in his Legendary Daedric Armour of Complete Magic Resistance and Endless Health, Mana and Stamina Recovery run around begging people for spare coins. =P I'm not even sure wether the value of your appearel affects the dispossition of NPCs like it did in Oblivion, but I would never in my life give any spare change to a guy walking about in silk clothing with a fur cape, velvet hat and golden jewelery with pearls and diamonds.
  19. Hm. Well, this would require some quite extensive modding to be made playable in the long run. Making an underworld city with Draugr NPCs and a faction is doable, but the part where you want to 'send the world into darkness' (which pretty much would be a requirement if you'd want to have anything to do at all as a Draugr) would require... Well, large raw changes and a heap of scripting. Like, laying siege to cities with your Draugr minions, making sure the death of the Jarl causes all respawns of the guards and citizens to cease so that you can... Well, repopulate the town with Draugr NPCs to function as the murdered NPCs. Also, I've been looking at the Draugr and thought a bit about what racial skills and abilities they should have. And a certain quest in a certain place, already in the vanilla game, allows you to feed upon the dead; something I'd say is pretty much mandatory for the Draugr race, perhaps giving them a lowered regeneration in general (... Dead tissue don't, generally, heal). It's also a bit difficult to pick both skills and racial powers as Draugr come from everything to dusty old bonewalkers to Dragon Priests - spanning all (except the sneaky, to my knowledge) classes. And then we've got the appearel business; and as far as I've understood it, the Draugr meshes don't support armour to be equipped, and I haven't come across any mods that changes that. So... A bit of a project, I suppose, if it's to be made properly. Then again, it's fun to just make a Draugr Overlord and do some good old-fashioned township raiding - even if it generally means you'll be shot down by the guards before really achieving anything. The alternative would be a Draugr city with enough quests (radiant and quest lines) to keep you occupied. Can't honestly say which is hardest to achieve. Then there are, of course, a whole lot of other elements to be considered. Mounts, which are turning more and more important with the recent update, suitable for the Draugr (for some reason I can see a Draugr overlord on a skeletal Dragon sitting atop the roof of Dragonreach whilst coldly staring down at the ongoing massacration of the Whiterun citizenry) - but 'realistically' refering to a proper skeletal/zombie-like horse, or a dosen (I suppose a mod which summons them, much like an already-excisting mod does). And the thing with being an Overlord, you're sort of supposed to actually have something to lord over, a warband to keep in check (which with the current follower stuffs would be, at the very least, messy). Finally there's the thing where most (I think?) people prefer to start from scratch and actually achieve the power of your character through progression rather than just starting off as an Undead Super-General of the Draugr Legions with the sole mission to conquer the establishments of Skyrim. Aaand then there's the lore-part, because from what I can tell, the Draugr as a race are rather... Passive, they don't go about raiding, they sit, sleep and slumber in their tombs until disturbed, which I suppose is a trivial matter to fix with some simple background being written. Like. Something?
  20. ... Yes, quite. ... ... ... Unless... You... Put a blanket over it and blow out the candles? On a more serious note though, I'm not sure wether it's appreciated to make a guide, letting you do it all yourself step by step, considering you'd still require all data files from both games to make it possible. Either way, I haven't magically evolved into a scripter/whatever-you'd-call-the-people-doing-these-sort-of-thingies-'n-stuff over the past few minutes (as far as I know?), so I can't really help you out.
  21. Yeah, those are modelled textured and probably animated from scratch - most of them are at least, because using assets from another game is illegal and will get you banned from nexus ;p Doesn't mean one can't use it for oneself's use though, right? As long as one doesn't upload it on the Nexus or share it through otherwise means; I mean, to get the zombie stuff from Oblivion, you gotta have Oblivion, so if you know how, own both games and feel like doing it, there's no one that can stop you. I like the Oblivion zombies too, although I don't know how to move 'em to Skyrim, and I'm not as stupid as to toss up Bethseda's property for public downloading. =P That's what we refer to as piracy, which is illegal, and punishable by hanging. Or was that the other one?
  22. Oh, lookie! I saw that one whilst searching about, but it had a rather restricted description on the site. Read through the readme, and lovin' it. =) Cheers for pointing it out!
  23. Been looking through some of the Alternate Start mods, found a lot of interesting-looking ones but none that starts you off as a Vampire? Now, if all I'd want would be to become a vampire at square one, I would do so through console commands; so what do I actually want? Well, finding RP-styled gaming much more amusing than plowing through Skyrim merely to achieve the tasks dropped upon my shoulders, as well as always appreciating well-made mods, I'd like a proper mod that actually makes it feel as if 'Yeah, alright, I'm a vampire'. So, I'll leave it up to whoever feel up to it to decide the details, but here are some of my ideas of what I'd do if I knew how to do it: You awaken in a dark, damp place. You feel weak, cold - and ravenous like nothing you've ever felt before... As far as you can remember (Now, I'm not sure how well cinematic clips can be made, but an idea if it's possible, would be that you lie in a coffin, and as you push off the lid - allowing the pale moon light to shine down on you enough to see your own character, the race menu pops up; and that's where you make your character as usual). You ascend from your grave (crypt, catacomb, an open grave in a graveyard - up to the modder) and look around, it's dark and cold; but the chill does not seem to affect you - you merely feel aware of that it's there, in an apathic, absent-minded manner. Nothingness surrounding you, not even a tombstone over your grave from which you can learn your true name, you decide to leave; out into the world to find out what you are, what happened to you - but most of all, to sate that insationable thirst tearing in your gut. Requested features: - A new area which, at least in the beginning, is empty and far from civilization, forsaken and forgotten long since. Again, I'll leave the theme up to the modder to decide, as long as it's dark and 'mystical'. I personally find it much easier to work with interrior spaces, and won't hold it to anyone deciding to have a go at it if it's all just a small cave or crypt/catacomb, I'll probably go ahead and make myself a suitable homestead on my own as I see fitting to my character. - Vampires, Necromancers and Witches (and their minions) by default being neutral, even if perhaps territorical, leaving it up to your actions to decide wether they'll allow your presence or if they'll have a go at you (neutral as in, neutral, not as in allowing you to loot their stuff and walk off). - Main-Quest disabled, a Vampire-Dovahkin always made the game feel somewhat... Flawed. Dragons should instead turn up on random occasions once a suitable level is aquired (not sure how controllable it is, but generally it feels as if there's dragons all over when playing through Skyrim, I'd prefer to see it as a rare, random-encounter boss situation). - Simple, suitable weapons, armour and misc 'stuff' in the starting area; iron armour set and both 1h and 2h weapons to be found, long bow and a couple of arrows, a simple black robe with the basic 50% mana regen bonus and a set of hide armour so that you won't have to run into the wilds fighting with your bare hands (and teeth!) before you reach a town. - (optional, but preferable) Starting at vampirism stage 4 (considering you've been dug down for a while without feeding) - and a graveyard caretaker's shack nearby so that you can have your first meal reasonably soon after emerging into the world (with the caretaker being asleep at night, and the game starting around midnight so you should have time to sneak in and grab a snack - or just skip all that and run off with your loony-ravenous vampire powers hoping to butcher a few bandits before you settle down). - (optional, but preferable) The 3 basic standing stones at the starting area (perhaps remoddeled to suit the place if possible and considered required), either in the shape of shrines or just as weird-looking tombstones scattered across the graves. And that concludes this request, although I'd just like to spit it out in the open that any well-made vampire mods are appreciated. There are a few that makes the gameplay more enjoyable and balanced, but being a fan of vampirism in general I really like it when there's a good vampire-related mod around!
