Ovennamedheats
For some reason this plugin doesn't show up in the mods column of Wrye Bash after I've "installed" it. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like this or not and how to tell if the mod is activated.
bevilex
For some reason this plugin doesn't show up in the mods column of Wrye Bash after I've "installed" it. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like this or not and how to tell if the mod is activated. Not all mods have a plugin to activate. For instance textures and meshes replacers just replace textures and meshes by new ones, in this case no plugin is required.Statues HD is probably just a retexture so this is absolutely normal. Ovennamedheats
Right on man, Thanks for the explanation. Would that possibly explain why it doesn't have an .esp file either?
bevilex
Would that possibly explain why it doesn't have an .esp file either? For me plugin and .esp file are the same. (maybe there's a difference ?)Statues HD replaces some vanilla textures by new high res one. No esp/plugin is needed in this case. That's why you don't see a plugin in the mod tab. If you clicked on "install" in the installer tab, and if the mod's little box is green, then the mod is installed correctly. Ovennamedheats
Are you familiar with why the signs in the Imperial City are not in HD? Is there a different mod that changes those textures?
bevilex
I don't think statues HD modifies the signs. Maybe try this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/9498/? Edited September 6, 2016 by bevilex
Ovennamedheats
Lol, that's actually the mod I was referring to. It doesn't change the signs in the Imperial City at all and I'm not sure if all the atuff in the ImperialCity is modded differently from other areas. Maybe try this one : http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/46920/?it retextures the imperial city, maybe the signs too ? Or this one : http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45666/?Be careful with this one : this is a big retexture package (it replaces a lot of textures and meshes). Maybe the signs too. But i am not sure. These are the only mods that come into my mind right now.
Ovennamedheats
The mod you originally suggested to me, Improved Signs, is the one I was curious about originally rather than Statues HD. When you said you didn't think Statues HD affected the signs, you were correct. I mistakenly brought up an issue with Improved Signs in this forum about Statues HD. In the description of Improved Signs, the modder says "This is a retexture of about 90 to 95% of the signs in the signs folder." I'm wondering if the other 5% are the various signs in the Imperial City because they don't appear to be retextured but then I would assume all the signs(i.e. Copious Coinpurse, Tiber Septim Hotel, Luther Broad's Boarding House, etc.) would comprise much more than 5% of the Signs folder.
