Can the Creation Kit fix these aswell.

If Bethsoft runs according to form as it did in Oblivion and Morrowind, they will fix a ton of bugs between now and the first expansion set. Then the modders will issue unofficial patches that fix anywhere from hundreds to thousands of others, most quite small, but things that Bethsoft should have caught. Expect the CK and other tools to be used for the latter. And expect the process to continue for at least a couple of years.

Early January eh? It's almost mid January lol

Yeah, they never said early January. They said "in January," which led a lot of people who wanted it to be early January to assume as much. I suspect it's a low priority for them, though obviously not for us--and the fact that it was out within 3 days of Oblivion's release says something.

It also didn't have an inclusive file-sharing system with Oblivion. I am reserving judgement on Steamworkshop for when i have the material at hand, but i suspsect (And by that i mean highly) that its an attempt to integrate a simple push-button upload system to Steamworkship into the CK which is causing the delay.

So why not release a version without the Steam Workshop button for the people that don't want the ruddy thing? THIS is why people are getting angry. Bethesda care more about the darned Steam Workshop button than allowing modders to fix what they seem to be unwilling to do, like broken quests.

That statement implies that the integration is something superficial rather than a properly integrated progyam dynamic.

For instance, including a button that says "Upload file" is something totally different to an option to "Save to Steamworkshop". The former simply uploads a finished file onto the database, while the latter would require the ability to dynamicly interact with a stored file, potentially from multipul locations. As such, i would have to be incorporated into the data compiling and recal codes of the program its self, wheras the former example can be a simple activation process for a subsidiary program.

a lot of this depends strictly on how they are implementing the Steamworkshop. Releasing two completely different versions, particularly when they have already commited to using Steam, is asking for trouble, not just practical but also legal.

I'd rather wait for the CK than end up on the perpherals of a legal battle. Then again, i tend to be a patient sort, so i guess i don't mesh with the modern culture of entitlement.

It seems like Bethesda has screwed the pooch on this one. Who cares about uploading mods to SteamWorkshop, we already have places to do that. Unless they come out with something truly revolutionary, this is just going to be a massive waste of time and effort implementing something ridiculously trivial. Their procrastination has built up a lot of high expectations.

Look at the big picture. With the first implementation of Steam Workshop into the CK (or the other way round) still open doors to third party data bases like the Nexus are easily to be shut in future updates. That'd mean the final end of a lot of beloved things. That it hasn't yet happened might be the result of the fear of the own courage and, the fear of the today customers that are still well aware of a free upload market. Edited by DeTomaso

If they'll do that there will be a non-steam CK in no time.

The places to be will switch from steam and official sites to the 'underground circuit'.

Already sites like Nexus are in danger of losing out against sites that don't care about copyright. Steam policy will be even tighter. Meanwhile a certain Russian site is gathering a sweet collection of mods that are prohibited elsewhere.

What are they going to do? Trying to prevent people from downloading 'illegal mods'? Good luck on that one.
