Rabbit1251
If you are playing the Vault 1080 mod by nVidia and you have had your VATS disabled type "forceenableplayercontrols" without the quotes into your console. The discussion on Beth.net: https://mods.bethesda.net/#en/workshop/fallout4/mod-detail/2643807 The Rabbit Edit: Okay, that fix only works for a short time. Whenever you re4start the game or load a save game you must re-enable your VATS again. New Permanent Fix: 1) Open the console and type "DumpInputEnableLayers" without the quotes. Hit Enter.2) You will have Layers presented. Note the number of the Layer that refers to VATS.3) Type "ResetInputEnableLayer [#]" without the quotes or brackets. For # enter the Layer number from 2 above. Hit enter and close the console. Your VATS should now be working just as before. This fix was brought to you from a Chappie named _Milos on the Steam Forums. PHANTOM3455
The vault 1080 quest is not bad, but a bit thin to have to go through the hassle of reinstalling the DLC. I just installed the latest version of the DLC and I still had the VATS problem. The working solution to the problem I found is just don't push any vault door buttons when you first get to the vault. The door is already partially open for you to get in to the elevator. If you don't push the vault door buttons, one just outside the door and the one just inside of the door, VATS works with no problems.
