I have a few questions I am new and I hope this is the forum I should be posting in. I have OMOD and OBSE I am very new to the mods in Oblivion so I dont know if I really have a problem. But When I play I dont get crashes to the desktop but when I close Oblivion out it crashes and sometimes locks up my computer. So I looked in OMOD at the conflict list to see what conflicts I have and there are to many to even write down here and since I am new.

I just wanted to know from the Pro's what that meant it seems to play fine and the mods all seem to be there and working the major ones are OOO the Unoficial Oblivion patch, Deadly Refex, Oblivion Cat's, Clocks of Cyrodiil, Exnem Body replacer, Dude wheres my horse only because I loose it all the time and some weapons and arors for the Exnem Body. I read in the OOO read me that there is a page to look at a compatibility list but it will not open for me so does anyone see a big problem with what I have installed? And if there is anything anyone see's something I might need I would appreciate it thank's.

Not sure if this is relevant or not but I noticed that whenever I'm not connected to the internet and I CTD windows hates that because it's looking for an online solution and turns into the equivalent of a boa constricter on my windows functionailty for which the only cure seems to be a slow and painful attempt to close the program in the task menu. Closing it from one of the other tabs might be quicker if I remember correctly the last time I had to deal with it. I may have to look for a way to turn that damn search for online solutions off at least for OB.

Sometimes just taking a mod out leaves parts behind. usually in the critical meshes and textures folders. Most mods (nearly all) do not include an uninstall feature. Others overwrite mesh, texture or other files. (Poor programming there) Removing a mod usually means just taking out it's esp part. OBMM does this very well, but still leaves behind the other parts which you will have to go through and delete one at a time from each of the folders - possibly hundreds of small files.

If you think you have corrupted mods installed you will eventually end up reinstalling anyway. If not now, then when it finally quits working altogether. Just remember to read the posts on installing before you start because uninstalling Oblivion is much harder than you think. There are parts scattered in your registry and in your Documents and settings folders that are not removed by the uninstall function on the CD. Those parts will rise up and byte you when you reinstall and start to play again.

Good luck in finding your problem. And keep us informed of what you find.
