MadModderJess
Hey, hoping someone who's not rubbish with meshes and textures, because I am rubbish, would be willing to make sticks of sealing wax and some kind of Dragonborn letter seal (or perhaps a signet ring for the purpose). I'm not even looking to make a quest or anything, just to have something like that for placing in-game, for immersion. There are wax seals used on a lot of the notes in Skyrim, so we know it's a practice. Some examples:
thumbincubation
I'm really a noob at nifskope, but something like this? Edited September 13, 2016 by thumbincubation

thumbincubation
You're welcome to it, if you want it, but there are a couple of small problems I'm having trouble resolving. Being that I can't 3d model, I'm reduced to trying to lego-assemble existing meshes in nifskope. I tried a signet ring, which is doable in the world model, but I think I made my brain bleed, trying to put the additions onto the wearable model. The x, y, and z do something different than what they're supposed to do, for some reason. I ended up giving up on it, and going for the decorative "ancient nord dragon stamp" type. This seems ok, can be picked up into inventory, moved around, is subject to havoc. It sits flat on the base (where you can't see the seal) but if you turn it on its side, it wants to havoc a few inches above the surface and I have no idea why. That can be resolved with the "disablehavoconload" script, but I didn't know how you wanted to employ it. The wax sticks are just red charcoal, but I want to make a new normal map for them. Otherwise, they're pretty simple. I wouldn't feel confident uploading this, but I'll gladly send you the files if you like. NinjaWarriorPoet
How hard would it be to for you to make one for each hold?
thumbincubation
I don't know. There would have to be something 3d already in the game, that I could set into it. I've been able to use a couple of different meshes so far, the Imperial logo, College of Winterhold, Arkay and Azura's star, but I don't know what I could do about hold symbols that are only art. I will tinker a bit and see if anything useful emerges.

MadModderJess
Ugh, clutter collisions are the worst. I can try to do something with it, tho; I've had some small success in reducing a collision that's almost right. As for the sealing wax, I might try putting the normal maps for the Hearthfire clay on it and see what happens, as that's pretty close to the right texture iirc. I'm so bad at creating normal maps but if there are existing ones that can be tweaked, I might be able. Thank you so much for this, honestly! thumbincubation
No worries. If you want to PM me, I'll send what I have over. Ninja, I had a thought, but I don't know how it will look. Going to take a shot at using a coin mesh, but with a smooth face, set the hold symbol image on it and try a really outrageous normal map, to see if I can make it lookembossed. Wish me luck.
