How do you edit an item property using TESsnip?

I bought Skyrim but ain't playing it until my mod needs are met, but I am looking at the info in an item file. What does it mean and how do I edit it? For example, let's take a lockpick

Based on the lockpick data below from the skyrim.esm does anybody know what I edit here to:

1) Change its selling price

2) Change how much you pay to buy it from a merchant

3) What do I edit so that you can't loot it in containers or corpses, or would you have to find loot drop lists to do that?

I'm a complete noob and want to make a tough economy mod. Any help appreciated.

DATA is the weight and value

Use the float/int (forget which one it takes) in the bottom left hand corner once you double click DATA.

Thanks. That's a good start :)

Hello Oomo,

I have tried the same thing like you did. I wanted to change the price of cooked food. I was succesfull so far, but...

TESsnip did not decrypt the name of the item correctly. Cooked salmon ist now called öl0ß, for example.

I do not know if there is a walkaround for this problem.

(I use the german version)

Greetings, Christian

@ Christian: Change the wordings in FULL to any word you want or in your case, type in "cooked salmon"~ hope this helps!

@New man

Your solution to my problem sounded much to easy to work, but I did try it...

It worked perfectly  , now I can increase the prices of food in the german version, so hunting makes sense.

BIG THX!!!!
