So it´s been three weeks and something is really bothering me, the game is suppose to have non-scripted dragons who roam around the world and attack villages and cities randomly, well first week I haven´t found any non scripted ddragon until I saw one in the vulcanic tundra, then with my other caracter I see him again and yet with another character I see him again in the same place so I come to the conclusion that those are dragons who fly around their dragon crest sites and not actually non scripted dragons so after three weeks playing skyrim everyday I can clearly say I never saw a nonscripted dragon nor a city or village being attacked.Has anyone experience the same thing? My skyrim is so peacefull, if I want to fight a dragon well I can just forget about it because where the hell are they?I´m starting to think everything that bethesda said are a bunch of lies.I did change my timescale to 5, could that mess with non scripted dragons?

They are usually at certain peaks around the world. Usually if theres a world of power near there is a dragon. But I agree outside of the first dragon attack and at the tower, there is nothing but clear skies, except occasionally when I find a "nest" or when walking from point to point.

Well I think it is safe to say that EVERYTHING in this game is scripted to some extent.

There is a 50% chance that when I Quick Travel to the Mage College there is a Dragon there.

I think what upsets me more then the painfully obvious static spawns, is the woefully bad AI when it comes to where they will try and land.

I can't tell you how many times I have hit a Dragon with Dragonrend just to have it fly up into the air and then land for the duration of the debuff in another location I can't even get to.

Dragons as well have painfully boring attack scripts. They need more diversity in how they attack you I feel. :verymad:

Yeah on my mage run through this is where I killed most of my dragons. I kid you not I killed like 5 dragons at the College. In fact I killed one and went on a mission came back, went inside and another frost dragon was there.

Ive heard that the rate of dragon spawning increases as you level up/progress through the main quest, and that seems fairly true. I didnt notice many random dragons at first, but towards the end there were frequent village/patrol/bandit camp attacks by randomly generated dragons.

the rest of us do, a lot. you are doing something wrong.

well first week I haven´t found any non scripted dragon until I saw one in the vulcanic tundra, then with my other caracter I see him again and yet with another character I see him again in the same place so I come to the conclusion that those are dragons who fly around their dragon crest sites and not actually non scripted dragons so after three weeks playing skyrim everyday I can clearly say I never saw a nonscripted dragon nor a city or village being attacked.

scripted is the wrong word. Dragons that are spawned by quests are "scripted". Those are nesting dragons. They are scattered around the map, and they all live in specific spots, and fly around near them. nothing beyond their location is scripted. They are in addition to the randomly spawning ones

Has anyone experience the same thing? My skyrim is so peacefull, if I want to fight a dragon well I can just forget about it because where the hell are they?

You're not looking around enough. Even IF you never get a random dragon, there are enough nesting ones around for you to kill til you're bored to tears of dragons. Ask any inkeeper, or jarl's steward for work, and they'll frequently tell you to go kill a dragon

I´m starting to think everything that bethesda said are a bunch of lies.

this is really not nice to say.

I did change my timescale to 5, could that mess with non scripted dragons?

If the game isn't working for you the same way it works for everyone else, I strongly suggest undoing the modifications you've made to make it work differently. it would have served you well to try this before insulting the developers.

ok, that out of the way, i'll give you what advice i know:

1. dragons only start spawning once you've killed the scripted one at the western watchtower. I presume you've already done this.

2. Dragons like open space. they tend to spawn most often in and around "open towns". ie, places which contain lots of tasty npcs, but aren't walled off in a seperate cell. Places like winterhold, dragon bridge, rorikstead, morthal, etc.

3. Dragon spawning is quite possibly based on time. They spawn frequently after fast travelling, which causes many hours to pass at once. probably compounding several spawn checks in a row.

Well I´m a bit mad with bethesda latest take on CK so forgive me for insulting them x) I really like the company and their games don´t get me wrong and I know they didn´t lie as other players have the "non-scripted" dragons.

My game was like this before mods, the mods.I use are character texture replacers jaysus swords and 100 jump, don´t see how those mods can cause trouble

1.I did a lot already, I´m level 17 and I´m on my way to skyhaven temple with esbern and delphine.

2.In my game they are peacefull vacation spots XD

3.I never fast travel.

If I had to guess I´d say it´s because I changed my timescale to 5, it´s a real shame I wanted to see dragons attacking villages from a distance or simply see a dragon fly over. It´s also funny how everyone plays the game with dragons attacking everytime and I just go on about and if I seea dragon I´m really lucky XD

EDIT:I´m now seeing alduin for the second time resurrecting a named dragon.Better than nothing.

Seems to be more related to your progress in the main quest. I didn't encounter any random dragons until about midway through the main quest. About the only dragons I saw before that point were ones near nesting sites (the places where you learn words) or the few times I found Alduin reviving at one of the burial sites. Since completing the main quest I get a dragon about once every 2-3 days regardless of timescale setting.
