Skyrimpref.ini little help

currently working on the skyrimpref.ini using a hp pavilion dv6 1247 cl model with good graphics :wink: . i have it looking good but only issue is that when i enter some caves and houses the candle lights freeze the crap out of the game. examples the draw bridge in the game when escaping Helgen, my whiterun house and the jarl's keep. avg. frames 12-18 may be low to others but it works great, but when i enter those rooms i get around 1-3 until i look away from those candles anything in that *.ini file i can change to fix that? like a shader or something doing it? :wallbash:

any suggestions would help. if you know whats causing it.

It may not be the light that is causing the frame rate issues, but rather the shadows given off by the light? either way, maybe try tweaking these values in SkyrimPrefs.ini

These are worth a try at least: (Use Ctrl+F to find them easily)

Tinker with these and see if they affect your frame rate noticable.

iMaxDesired

iShadowMapResolution (This needs to be changed in both, SkyrimPrefs.ini & Skyrim.ini)

iShadowMapResolutionSecondary

iShadowMapResolutionPrimary

iShadowMode=4

You could also try:

[General] <- Section

bUseThreadedParticleSystem=1

If your desperate, you could also try turning off the HDR (HighDynamicRange) Lighting.

[blurShaderHDR] <- Section

bDoHighDynamicRange=0

finally. took about total of 6 hours of testing and got it. only frame rate drop is when its loading a cell onces its load i get 9-17. battle with 11 people in whiterun avg 7-11frames not bad, no slid show so i think its good :D

Ty for those few little changes " kieranh7 " those helped and gave 2 more frames.

went from

H = 480 to H = 768

W = 640 to W = 1024

i have gotten W = 1280 but lose a few frames haven't tested it much but still i think its super with how crappy this graphics card is with this model of laptop.
