Hallo everyone, i think about playing this game but before that i want to know some things about it, i would appreciate if anyone answers.

1. are items static or randomly generated?

2. does it have any economy system, like, will i find something new in shops or they always sell same things?

3. do monster levels scale with character?

4. can i choose weapons or skills?

5. are there any companions?

6. can i finish quests in different ways?

7. are there any meaningful and different choices in dialogues?

Thanks in advance.

1.Monster treasure is generally random, though some treasure will always be there. If it is needed for a quest, for example. Treasure chests are random, again the exception is if a needed item for the game is in the chest. That item will always be there.

2.Some items you will find the documents that show how to make them as you explore, armor and weapons for example. The higher level the shopkeeper is will determine what you can buy there. For example, master crafted armor and weapons can only be gotten from a master blacksmith or armorer. You will have to find them. Not every alchemy or general store will have every item and some specialty items will only be available at specific stores.

3.Monsters do not level as you do, they will stay the same level. However, you can find harder monsters as you travel about. They don't level as you travel. If your Witcher is level 5 and you go up to the Northeast corner of Velen you will find level 20 or higher monsters (don't go there as a noobie). But if you return as a level 40 Witcher, those monsters will still be level 20.

4.You can use any weapon or skill that you have the right level to acquire. If you are level 10 then you cannot use level 20 equipment. All skills are generally available to you at the start of the game, what you develop is your abilities with them.

5.No permanent companions. The characters that are part of the story will come and go as their quests bring them. You will have quests with Yenefer, Triss, Ciri and other characters but none will stay with you.

6 and 7 are related and the answer is a very definite YES. Many quests give you a choice on how to finish them and how you finish the quest can impact something you do later. Some dialogue choices are VERY important and WILL affect the game later on. One example (and I will not give you a spoiler) is that the Witcher loves two sorceresses, Triss and Yenefer (you find this out very early in the game). There are several points in the game that the Witcher can tell one, or both, that he loves them and how he handles that will determine the end of the game. There are also some dialogue choices that have a timer and you only have a few seconds to make your choice. If you don't choose in time, the game chooses for you.
