Mookeylama
noticed that i have a [FIX] section in both enblocal and enbseries and they have many of the same settings. but some of the settings are set differently in them both. like local has fixgamebugs=true while that is false in enbseries. should these sections match? does one take precedence over the other? if both are set the same does that create double the strain? Project579
[FIX] FixGameBugs=true ;<----fix game rendering related issues. Leave to true. FixParallaxBugs=true ;<-----enables ENB Parallax and fixes vanilla Parallax. FixAliasedTextures=true ;<------ reduces aliasing of snow on mountains and other similar objects. Leave to true even if using SMAA they are different! IgnoreLoadingScreen=true ;<-----makes ENB ignore loading screens. IgnoreInventory=true ;<-----makes ENB ignore Inventory. FixSsaoWaterTransparency=true ;<----Fixes some problems with ambient occlusion and water. FixTintGamma=true ;<-----Fixes some small color differences might not be needed depending on the ENB. Leave to true. RemoveBlur=false ;<-----removes Blur. FixSubSurfaceScattering=true ;<----- Fixes subsurface scattering (install patches as well: http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1499 ) Leave to true and always install the patches if using ENB. FixSkyReflection=true ;<------fixes a glitch in water while [Water] bReflectSky=1 (in Skyrim.ini) is set to 1. FixCursorVisibility=true ;<-----this is the double cursor Fix. FixParallaxTerrain=true ;<-------enable for parralax effects on ground textures, makes only sense with texturepacks. FixLag=false ;<------enable if you experience mouselag. Mookeylama
thanks. yeah i know what they do.but i have some of those same settings in both my enblocal AND my enbseries. some of them are set differently in enbseries. like the parralaxbug is true in enblocal but false in enbseries. so what i'm asking is... should both settings match in both txt files? does the enblocal override enbseries? Project579
I think those might be default settings i do not have any [FIX] section on ENB series but every ENB preset/Author has its own way of doing things.
Darklocq
As far as I can determine through forums and testing (not very extensive) enblocal.ini's entire point is to override enbseries.ini with user-specified preferences. This seems supported by recommendations at STEP, etc., to edit enblocal.ini while no one seems to want you to edit enbseries.ini (for this sort of thing, anyway), and ENB having moved some stuff from enbseries.ini into enblocal.ini over time presumably in response to user pressure about further customization.
