buffcode
Its pretty cold in Skyrim, why does everyone wear short sleeved clothing? The male fur "armour" is more like something a stripper would wear! I would love to see a mod that overhauls the skimpier armours, or failing that a clothing/ armour mod that has actual winter aparel- Fur coats, scarves, wraps, gloves ect. Matth85
People adapt and evolve. Most Nords should be able to run naked in the snow, and not feel the cold.Though I would agree for other races: How can the High Elves be in the cold without freezing over? They aren't used to this kind of cold!
Terralventhe
As an Icelander, I will confirm this. When I was younger, I'd spend countless hours playing outside during the winter and eventually developed something of a resistance to the cold, to the point that I'd walk outdoors in about -6°C wearing a t-shirt and jeans and a pair of flip flops to bring in the laundry and didn't even feel a shudder, let alone anything else. And considering I'm far from the fit, healthy harsh-environment-adapted physique of a Nord, I'd daresay that the Nords could walk around as they please. Heck, even the game itself says that they have a 50% immunity to cold.
LukeSkyrimmer
I wonder why the Khajiit complain about being cold when they are covered with fur. Argonians don't complain at all.
Terralventhe
Argonians aren't cold-blooded like lizards, nor are they native to blazing hot jungles like the Khajit. Argonians come from dank, cold swamps. Edited December 3, 2011 by Terralventhe
FireBug3
50% or not, seen a homeless in just a shirt on the street, is wrong, sure there are dragons and such so maybe they have some kind of spell. Anyway i would prefer to see skyrim residents in some cozy clotches. Edited December 3, 2011 by FireBug3
Terralventhe
I also did specify 'I'm far from the fit, healthy harsh-environment-adapted physique of a Nord, I'd daresay that the Nords could walk around as they please. Heck, even the game itself says that they have a 50% immunity to cold,' but that was some nice selective reading on your half nonetheless, thanks. Matth85
seen a homeless in just a shirt on the streetYou mean like they do in real life? I mean, the guy is homeless. He can't afford clothes, so of course he got little.
Amoramor
I don't suppose anyone has seen an inuit walking around in a t-shirt in Greenland? Didn't think so. I bet they have a great tolerance against cold, but come on, they're only people too. When it's cold, people should use warm clothes. All this talk about resistances and immunities is just silly. Matth85
I don't suppose anyone has seen an inuit walking around in a t-shirt in GreenlandWould you be shocked if I told you tons of homeless die every year because they freeze to death? Because they don't got more than they get for free. Now we are in Skyrim, where they get NOTHING for free. I see no problems in them letting a homeless run around in nothing but his underwear. Well, I do see the problem, but I don't see the unrealistic in it. All this talk about resistances and immunities is just silly. *giggle* in a game with dragons and magic?
