Suggestion: Why not expand your recruiting to the Reddit forums?

http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/

Your message could read something like this:

In Skyrim, the world of reading is a closed book to many. Adventurers are content with skimming through volumes found in derelict temples and dungeons ignorant to the stories written inside. Are they to blame? Would you invest your time brushing up on Lore when there is Lore to be created? Does the image of a chair-bound Dovahkiin inspire adventure, exploration, or destiny? Gentlemen, Lurkers, Good Guys, Forever Alone Guys,: I challenge you. I challenge you to record a book using this this list:

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Books

While cross-referencing this list:

http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/484856-skyrim-audiobooks/page__view__findpost__p__3965591

Then uploading your work to (optional):

http://soundcloud.com/

Or contact the project manager directly:

[email protected]

And inject your voice into Skyrim, thus ensuring your immortality (or at least until the Elder Scrolls VI is released)!

Together we will make this:

Helpful materials:

No Scumbag Steves need apply. Hope to hear from you soon!

Don't know if I'm too late for this or not. It was a reccommendation from the Bethesda Skyrim boards that I check out this mod, as I'm trying to get a foot hold in voice acting.

As mentioned in the original thread: I'm aware of both the fact that there's humming and general ambience (which would not be present in a serious recording), and the fact that I have a ridiculously bad habit for a sudden rise in my inflection at the end of a sentence, as if I were asking a question. I'm working on stamping that one out.

I'd love to help with this mod, if possible.

Record "Mannimarco, King of Worms". This is a test. It's a necrotic poem. Enjoy the evil voiceacting.

@tooldealer

If I were you, I'd pick a book that hasn't already been covered here:

http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/484856-skyrim-audiobooks/page__p__3965591#entry3965591

Pick your favorite, a dungeoneer's treasure, anything. Right now, the project is in Alpha and all we're trying to do is recruit more readers. Any contributions are greatly appreciated.

@Emmarae With your permission I'd like to post what I wrote earlier hidden by spoiler. I'm ready to reach out to others about this project. I just I have a concern.

Who exactly will be in charge of turning this into a mod? If not you, then we ought to recruit a modder as well.

I've already begun the work of garnering a modder. We are communicating via email atm, but will be posting for the public once we have a working sample up and running.
