Mod cleanup in Creation Kit

I have a question if someone knows a way to proper cleanup a mod from unused script fragments, dialogue branches etc.

My current problem is:

Once I created a branch, then deleted it and recreated the same dialogue in another quest for this alias, now the dialogue shows twice, even in a new game. One version is functional and the other isn't of course.

I can find the version that is working with the name of the script fragment attached to the dialogue, but how do I find the one that is not working and proper delete it?

Is there some automated process to remove leftovers?

My Google-Fu is strong, but couldn't solve this. My next approach would be to make note of all the wanted existing dialogue scripts and remove anything else afterwards.

Try using TES5Edit to see if the dialogue truly deleted or you just made it "Orphan Dialogue"

Meaning it Dialogue with no Dialogue Quest Attache

Edit

My Gung - Fu is better little one :ninja:

Haha, see I didn't even check in TES5Edit

You think if a whole dialogue branch is deleted in Creation Kit and not showing, it is gone...

I will check when I get home.

OK, that was a little hard to find which one, but I managed to remove the orphan dialogue with TES5Edit. You have to be careful, once I removed it and couldn't open the dialogue in CK or crash. Make sure you also remove any topic info related to the dialogue branch you want to remove.

From the editor you could right click an object you know is using the dialog and select [use] on the bottom.

It should have the one it is using listed click on it and it will pop up. Now you know the right one to keep.

The Branch and any topic info in it wasn't showing in Creation Kit, that was the original problem. Only in TES5Edit, I could see both branches, the old one linked to one quest and the new branch linked to the other.
