universal208
Hi all, quick (and probably stupid) question: when I open a (i.e. any) mesh file with Nifskope (Im using v.1.1.0-rc1, because any other older version pops an error about not being able to open the .nif), I cant actually see the texture file in the mesh structure (the tree on the left). As I remember from TES4/TES3 you would get a nice little purple flower that indicated the texture path and you would simply select any appropriate file you wished. However with Skyrim meshes I cant find that "flower" anywhere. Looked at several meshes. The only odd symbol that I can see is a 3D space axis symbol (i.e. like the ones you would see in the render window coloured in the classic RGB). Any hints? Never mind I managed to find something on the 108th page of Google search... Edited December 3, 2011 by universal208
Phate3
you can find the textures here: http://i.imgur.com/yzwkn.jpgAlso, there is a problem with the current NifSkope, it doesn't let you see the textures from the original Skyrim nifs. It works with imported Oblivion models though.

After setting File>Resource files and Render>Settings to let NS know where the bsa/textures are, it should work fine.
Phate3
Ah thank you, i didn't set the .bsa in File>Resource, i only did the Render>settings. Now it displays textures just fine.

I found something similar after a very extensive Google search, and managed to track the textures down, although some of the items in the branch have no actual files paths set. I can’t say I’m feeling very confident about this beta from NifSkope, the final will probably work much better.
