Ixflashpointxi
So, Ibuypower says the computer I am getting I will be able to play most games on High settings. But on modern warfare 3 it says I can't play. And a 30 dollar upgrade for my graphics card lets it play most games on ultra... Including mw3. Didn't know if I should be concered. Or should I take the 30 dollar upgrade? Specs: Case (NZXT Black Phantom Gaming Case) Processor (Intel Core i5 2400 Quad Core Processor with Motherboard) Operating System (Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit Edition) Memory (4 x 2GB = 8GB DDR3-1333 Gaming Grade Memory Module) Hard Drive (2TB 7200RPM Hard Disk Drive) Graphics Card (AMD Radeon HD6850 1GB Video Card) Optical Drive (24X DVD+/-RW DL Optical Drive) Monitors (AOC 18.5" LCD Widescreen Monitor, Black (931SWL)) Should I take a 30 dollar upgrade to the AMD Radeon HD6870 for Ultra settings? Or stay where I'm at?
maboru
You should be able to run a tweaked ultra setting, maybe reduce shadows or a couple of of other things, and make sure you try the 4gb mod. Up to you if you want to upgrade, I don't know that much about AMD cards but for $30 I don't suppose it would hurt. However, you may want to just save up for a next gen card. One thing that you probably shouldn't do is try for Crossfire (or Sli) until a new group of drivers are released, in case you were thinking about that. I think I'll stick it out with 6850 and wait until next year to get a more powerful graphics card. And I'll get the 4gb mod as well. And the framerate fix mod for ATI/AMD cards. Anyways, thanks for the help!
