Sandatharius
Admittedly, I'm a newb when it comes to modding, but I learned quite a bit when playing Oblivion, and installed several fairly complicated Mods in both Oblivion and Fallout 3. However, I seem to be running into problems with anything I try to go about installing mods in Skyrim. I've tried installing and using the Mod Manager, and the installer encounters a registry error and won't execute. I tried the manual version and get a similar error there, too. Had no issues with using the OBMM in Oblivion (or installing it, either) Anyway, I had good success with using a Mod Manager before, but I'm hesitant to just unRAR a mod into my DATA folder - I'd prefer to use a Mod Manager, so that it will be easier to disable it and/or uninstall it. I am familiar with Oblivion's Folder structure in the Data Folder (i.e. Meshes, Textures) but there is no such folders in Skyrim's Data folder (at least in my Steam version) Do the folders then exist for the first time in Skyrim's data folder? I'm brand new to Skyrim, just having installed it yesterday. I'm just a bit confused.....I was expecting to find the same, or similar, file structure in Skyrim's Data folder, when I was unRaring the Mod, and there isn't. PuddyPop
I've had a similar issue too. I have a .nif that affects the beast skeleton its "skeletonbeast.nif" but i have no idea how to install it correctly. I don't know if I need to replace an old skeleton.nif some how. It will check to see that all the files are there and download any and all that are missing.
